  • Works as expected on Viofo A139 & A139 Pro dashcams
This works great, period. Workmanship and quality of the cable is what you would expect from Viofo OEM. I have bought this cable 3 time now for two Viofo A139 Pro and one A139 dashcams. All have been working great as they should...regular mode as well as parking mode.

  • Hardware kit for Viofo A139 Pro 2 channel camera
This worked perfectly in my Subaru 2022 WRX, but I did have to manufacture a custom fuse tap to allow it to plug right into the fuse panel...that's not the fault of this product. Examine your own fuse panel for your car first, to see exactly what fuse tap will fit. I would not recommend cutting into the existing wiring harness to put this in when there are plenty of low cost "add a fuse" adapters for all sorts of cars. Make sure you have basic wiring skills to pick the right fuse tap area, you will need to identify one that delivers constant 12v power, and one that delivers 12v power only when the car is running. Avoid tapping into critical car components like the circuit that drives airbags, computers...look for non-essential areas like the fuse that controls the entertainment center, for example. ... show more

  • DOES NOT COME WITH ADD A FUSE - OTHERWISE 6 STARS
Aaaaahhh! Viofo! Viofo! Where art thou Viofo! You are such beautiful things. We love you. Did I miss something? Viofo went through so much effort. Even including the polarized lens cap. The SD card/USB adapter is crazy. I didn't even know equipment didn't have SD slots. But I felt like the add a fuse pieces could have been included. It is simple equipment. Maybe I am mistaken because different cars use different size fuses and there is no universal add a fuse that I am aware of. I guess I am spoiled. After getting the camera equipment and hardwire kit I felt like a kid at Christmas. Then I read that a required component is not included. It isn't really that big of a deal. It is just another thing I could have ordered at the same time or drive to an auto parts store and buy it. I was just bummed. Ultimately I'm getting my windows tinted so I am waiting to formally install everything anyway. But there ought to be a bolder statement mentioning that a person using the hardwire kit needs to have an add a fuse set ready. My heart is with Viofo. You saved me from a massive lawsuit and the only thing aside from myself that didn't lie was your camera. Guardian angel. I will always be faithful to you. But also mention the fuse situation. OH! I also had an install manual in German. But it was easy enough to understand even though I don't speak a lick of German ... show more

  • Solid Product
If you have a basic understanding of 12v wiring this should be a breeze to install. Allows for a very clean and "tucked" appearance of the dash camera. Also gives you the piece of mind that your camera can continue to record without draining your vehicles battery.

  • Results on a 2015 Odyssey
Updated review (2022-March-07): I realized that I must not have been placing the leads of my voltmeter into the fuse slots good enough because I learned that the fuse blocks for the cigarette lighters are always HOT on my 2015 odyssey (and whether or not power reaches the outlets is handled further down the circuit). Therefore, I was attaching both the red power and yellow acc wires to always on circuits, so of course it would always be running. That said, I now don't know if the low voltage cut off only works when the acc/power lines are correctly connected, or if there is indeed a defect with my unit. I've upped the rating to 4 stars since what I _have_ been able to test (that it works when I manually remove power to the acc line) it will go in to parking mode. Original review: I have confirmed that everything is connected as it should be, yet, like clock work, after about a month of having this connected, the car will no longer start due to a dead battery. I have used a meter to confirm red is connected to constant power, yellow to acc (power only when car is on), and black is to a good ground. The dashcam simply stays in full power mode 24/7 and never goes into parking mode except for sometimes when the car is started. If I completely remove the ACC line while power is still connected, it will go in parking mode. I have also confirmed the fuse I've tapped into is 0v when the car is off, so I don't understand why it behaves differently when it's plugged into the fuse block vs completely removed (open air). Regardless, the mail function of this product doesnt work, hence my lowest star rating. For what it's worth, I have a 2015 Odyssey and I used fuse taps to tap into the passenger side power sliding door circuit for constant power, the rear cigarette lighter circuit for accessory, and an existing ground bolt near the glove box for ground. I've even tried other accessory circuits and I don't see any different behavior. ... show more

  • Ideal wiring solution
I had Best Buy do the installation and they were happy I provided the wiring for my new Viofo A139 Pro. It went smoothly and nothing hung down.

  • Don't do it!
I had this connected up to my 2023 Sierra 1500 truck and it killed the battery when I left the dash cam ON for about four days. I had it set to the highest voltage level, before it was SUPPOSED to turn off (12.4v). Complete failure. Ended up completely removing the unit and going with a P&P harness from gen 5 diy (ties into the connection to my rear view mirror/LCD). If you have one of the refreshed GM trucks (2022+), then test out ALL of the fuses in the passenger side panel. There's just ONE [micro3] in mine that's powered with ignition (for the USB connections). I'm not the only person I know that has had issues with dash cam hardwired kits. They SEEM like a great idea, until you either read the fine print, ask around, or experience one for yourself. IF you're running the vehicle every day, long enough to top off the battery, then you're not going to want to use these. Even then, depending on the camera settings, you might not want to use one. I had high hopes for this setup, only to have them go up in the flames of a DEAD battery. ... show more

  • Great way to hardwire
The only way I have found to hardwire and activate the parking mode. Good quality cable.
