These blinds are good, easy to install and look fine except the end caps on the top of the blinds do not fit the product. I purchased two and they both have the same end pieces that absolutely do not fit on the blind at all. The caps on the bottom rail of the blind fit fine. Ordered 1 last month and was impressed. Placed an order for 5 more, and 4 came in perfect like last month. However, the 5th one from this order, out of the box had a vertical crack on the front top. It also had the top couple of blinds with bites out of them on the left, out of the box. I knew I liked the blind and could possibly hide these defects, so I decided to install it. Well, that top front crack was weak and boom, the rear cracked right behind it on the back side while installing and I now had 2 top pieces. Used superglue and duct tape and was able to get it installed and hiding behind the drape. Just hope it lasts and stays up there. Other than this one blind being factory defective, I do like these blinds for ease of use, room darkening and more solid than cheaper ones out there. ———————————————— Update: The vendor reached out to me right after this review was posted. They said duct tape and super is not right, and quickly sent me a replacement blind. As I shared above, these blinds are very good. Given I now have nothing to take stars off my review, I am putting it to where it should be. ... show more

    • Stunning quality for the price

The Lumino blinds I ordered had been very carefully packed at the factory, and I was impressed by the quality and sturdiness of all the components of the blinds once I examined them. Moreover, the internet sites that specialize in blinds had MUCH higher prices for cordless units of the same size. I found the Lumino installation instructions to be reasonably clear but incomplete. Here are two tips that may be useful to other amazon.com buyers: (1) Install all the end caps as your first step. (2) Be very careful when you actually snap the blinds into place on the clips (very heavy-duty) that you have screwed into place inside your windows. On my first of three, I thought I had it right until I tried to move the slats up and down with the rotating mechanism. It didn't work properly and emitted a loud SNAP at the limits of its movement. I thought this blind was defective and would have to be returned. BUT, when I removed the blind from the clips, I discovered that I had inadvertently "hooked" the internal slat-adjustment rod with the clips on the blind's top bar. Hence, it couldn't function properly. This was easily remedied, and now all three blinds I installed function smoothly in every way. I will DEFINITELY order more Lumino blinds for the rest of my windows. Great product, great price! ... show more

Measure windows closely and follow recommendations. (Do not go by the size of the old blinds being replaced.) We have very old metal mini blinds in our windows and needed to replace one because of that being the best window for our new 5G internet receiver (metal blinds diminish 5G reception.) These blinds match the appearance of those old blinds very well except that there are no strings on the new blinds. Strings are not needed with the new blinds. To raise or lower, just gently pull down or raise up the bottom bar, it works great! Changing the blinds resulted in 5G signal increasing from "very good" to "Excellent" with a quick easy install. ... show more

    • Nice Blinds but Privacy May be an Issue for Some People

These blinds were easy to install and size is exactly what you order. However, there is a privacy issue. After installing the blinds at night I walked outside my house to the bedroom where I installed them. Well, you can look through the large string holes and clearly see everything. If I had a lot of neighbors then I would install a roller shade over the top of the blinds and pull down the shade night. ... show more
