Viking 3-ply stainless steel Copper clad cookware combines a layer of aluminum sandwiched between a Copper exterior and a heavy-gauge stainless steel interior for superior performance. The aluminum core provides exceptional heat transfer throughout the pans, while the Copper exterior heats evenly for precise temperature control. F featuring a flared seamless Rim, The vented glass lids allow you to easily see the progress of your meal while reducing the chance of boil-overs. The Viking signature ergonomic stay-cool handles have a finger guide and built-in Heat break for easy lifting and control, while the internal volume measurements make measuring quick and precise. The pan on the left has been used probably 20 times and has darkened significantly but we kind of expected this to some degree. The next, now chrome pan, has been used only once, the 3rd pan has been used 3 times and the 4th has not been used yet. We have always used these on low to medium heat and have always allowed them to completely cool before hand washing and drying. I am not super confident in the thickness of the copper. It almost appears they were anodized. They do heat very evenly and clean up well. Hope to hear something from the manufacturer soon 419/23 Update - never heard anything from the manufacturer however Barkeepers friend….no clue what’s in this stuff but it literally turns the darkened copper to brand new looking in seconds, you can drip it on the copper and watch the run completely restore the finish to new. Our chrome looking pan instantly went back to like new and has not turned chrome again. They do age/patina a little with use but barkeepers makes them look brand new everytime. They are great to cook on once you get used to lower heat and easy to clean. Very happy with them - changing review to 5 stars. FYI we ordered the lagastina set also to compare…these are better quality and the sizes are much better, sent them back. ... show more

Great set, looks amazing, great value compared to other copper sets, i prefer stainless steel interior . the copper heats quickly w medium heat - doesnt need high. grease / oil pans prior to using. i sealed exterior w protecta-clear prior to use to prevent patina since i prefer the bright look. not too heavy compared to other good quality pans. also liked the 8 qt stock pot included compared to other sets where its not included. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just unboxed on the patio. Can not find a flaw or imperfections. Came well packed. They are beautiful. Very heavy. Works of art. I have cooked with these before and anticipate the same results. Did I say that they are beautiful?

You get what you put in, so make sure you have vinegar and baking soda or some bar keepers friend and keep them out of the dishwasher. (Do not wash while hot!) But they heat up fast and even and they are gorgeous. Worth it to me.

I used 2 pan, small lost color of Copper and bigger shows copper in pan when cooking eggs . i called Viking company, they claim this is not their product , Amazon has contract with other company to produce this product, I am shocked to know this. There is no support for this product from Amazon

The weight is good and the thickness can take quite a bit of heat. The price is pretty good compared to other steel cookware. We replaced some cephalon that the surface kept failing and had to be replaced. Just as easy to clean these as the old ones. I am extremely happy with this cookware set. Heat distribution is exceptional as are the aesthetics. I have seen some of the reviewers ding it because the copper gets a patina. I am very happy with my Viking set! I waited until it went on sale to buy it. Everything was perfect, except one pan had two deep scratches on the bottom that I didn’t notice before I used it, so I probably can’t get a replacement.
