Overall for satisfaction a one star. I should have done more research before purchasing. This camera is good for what it is; off brand so that is reflected in the $89 price tag. Records and takes pictures just fine, sound is a little muffled even with the mic plugged in. Honestly though if you have a iphone or android you would be better off using that to record/take pictures. I purchased to use for workout and youtube videos but the quality is just not there.. 8 megapixels total I believe it was. Besides there are apps you can use on a phone to instantly edit videos and add music too. However this camera does have its place it would be a great camera to give a youngster just getting into the recording/photo world as it is very lightweight and functional or one to take hiking. It also fits on a normal camera tripod perfectly and comes with two batteries, a mic, and a camera case. ... show more

This is a nice starter video camera. I bought this for my son who has a channel on a popular video website. The camera has a nice microphone that pics up his voice much better than the previous Vanessa he was using for videos. The audio is clear and crisp. I bought this for my 8-year-old daughter because she was dissatisfied with the sound and picture quality from her kids camera. She's fairly tech savvy and I figured this would be a decent enough step up at a price point where i wouldn't have to lose sleep over it getting damaged. I really regret it. The camera shuts down intermittently, and batteries only last about 15-20 minutes before needing to be recharged. It came with two batteries, but since they can't be charged off-camera, you can't use one while the other is charging (so what was the point of including two?) It also corrupted the SD card we put in it right away. The sound and picture quality on this camera may be decent, but I wouldn't really know, since it is basically unusable. ... show more

    • For just starting out on YouTube, works ok
This camera, where to begin. The picture quality is the best out of the whole device. The microphone, I would recommend throwing it away as soon as you get it and buy another battery powered microphone because the battery life is terrible. The battery life is terrible/nonexistent on the camera as well so I plug in a power bank and it allows it to "charge" while filming with no issues. The audio socks coming from the camera, but sounds just fine on the computer. The speakers are very poor quality and just sounds like trash. Filming in the dark, forget it unless you're right in front of the lens. The light you can turn on illuminates your face well but does not have any range to it whatsoever. Truthfully I'm just starting out on YouTube with my farm, and it is a great starter camera but there are limitations. I would highly recommend if you don't mind rigging a battery bank to the device and have the limitation the speakers sound like garbage during play back. I have not used the remote with this camera but based on my experience I would expect the same results. ... show more

I got this for my kid . She wanted to post some YouTube videos . This device is suits my need Picture quality is awesome during daylight . It captures the videos with less distortion. With the package there was 2 batteries provided , i didn’t feel the need of more battery power . As a extra thing , they provided remote control which helped to control if it is connected to tripod .     • Awesome gift for traveling mom/ grandmother
Bought this as a gift for my mom and she loved it. Prior to this she was about to become a new grandmother, and her and her husband were traveling a lot. She was pleasantly surprised. It fit perfectly in her palm, not bulky at all and we are very happy with the quality for the price!
