This Video Camera Camcorder is super fun to use and the price is right! It comes with all of the major features you would need to do some basic picture taking, some HD video recording and some vlogging. You can even use it as a live webcam to video chat with friends! The camera features a 18x digital zoom feature, as well as built-in fill lighting, anti-shaking, timer, smile capture, face detection, motion detection and I'm sure plenty more that that I'm forgetting about. It is 42.0 MP which provides unbelievable high-definition images and shoots video in 2.7K UHD 2688x1520 at 30FPS. The specs are just amazing! It also has an IR LED light for night shooting, which I absolutely love. There are 2 batteries included, so you never have to worry about running out. Each one last up to 2.5 hours depending on your usage, so with both you have around 5 hours of shoot time. The microphone provides crystal clear audio and has awesome noise reduction, so it really focuses on capturing what you are shooting, not the noises around you. The media could not be loaded. My old Camcorder decided to clunk out on me two days before my trip . In a rush I did some quick research and decided that this camera was the best value for features.. and it did not let me down! Upon receiving this camera, I noticed that it came packed very well for shipment. the camera is very well built, with a nice solid feel to it. Very lightweight and comfortable to use! sure I will get many years of use out of it! Also the outboard microphone really sounds great with no background noise or hiss like my old one did.. In bright light, all the colors are vibrant and crisp. The 1080 image quality is really superb! As a VLOG camera for use on social media this camera is a bargain and will do the job nicely. It does have Accurate image stabilization that Really helps during those moving shots. Overall I am very impressed with the audio quality, and the video quality in good lighting. In the 1080 mode the picture is suitably crisp and clean. Highly recommended.. amazing value! ... show more

    • Epitome of "Chinese-made Junk"
I bought this camera for my YouTube channel to replace my phone as tye primary camera. Worst decision I've ever made! The instructions are garbage. They have a help email in the instruction manual, but no one replies. I spent the better part of a week trying to get the microphone...really any microphone...to work. No microphone would work. The only way I could get sound was to use the crappy built-in, internal microphone of the camcorder. As a result, I sounded like I was 100 yards away and in a tunnel. Horrible, just horrible, quality sound! The picture quality was nothing sgort of a joke. I had lights everywhere. Even my wife thought I was overdoing the lighting as she was blinded by all of the lights. However, the video footage makes it look like I shot the video in a cave with only a small cell flashlight to illuminate the shot. I was so frustrated with the camcorder that I didn't even check to see if the remote worked. I bought the protection plan for this camcorder, but there is no protection plan in the world that can fix all of these issues! Steer clear of this product! ... show more

    • Best used on a tripod
I use this when building prototype machinery, the slow motion function is great for spotting flaws in parts that would otherwise move too fast to see. Regardless of recording speed, the image stabilization is not great and this works best from a tripod mounting. Sound quality is good BUT does not always sync with the video. Sync seems good at low sound levels but if a loud noise is recorded the sync will be off from that point forward. The battery run time is good for my use but it will drain the battery if stored for more than a couple of days, then the time/date will need to be reset. I have also used this on Zoom calls where it does seem to work well. Not a super quality camera, but for the price I am pleased to use in my shop. ... show more

    • absolutely better than a phone, but...
this has a much bigger lens than phones/webcams, and just physics-wise, that's better (no difference to human eyes, but for programing). things like a tripod mount and lens cap are better too. not huge differences, but can be useful (probably not stuff most folks actually need though). though i knew the odds, the description didn't explicitly say it only works as a web cam for computers with toy interfaces (windows). that part isn't awful, but a drag. for most folks, recording to the memory card alone is fine, USB card readers are common and cheap. alas, hand-helds used to be soooo practical to use as webcams (live video feed to a computer), but seems those days are now gone. nonetheless, it's a really low price (now $80). so expect short-cuts in the design. sure enough, the manufacturer saved money by doubling up button-functions (too many unrelated tasks for the number of buttons). the on-screen menu is disorganized, a pain to use. probably related to their saving money on fewer buttons (which lead to a mess of menu navigating). one menu you only see the first few seconds after turning it on, so you have to restart it several times to set that one (though not others?) but since this will serve most ordinary uses, and is a great deal. if you need a camera that's not your phone (not me, but maybe you?), this works. ... show more

    • Great value for the price.
Not a perfect camera... but for the price, it’s pretty awesome. It was a little confusing as to how everything worked because we didn’t get instructions, but once we figured it all out, it’s easy to navigate. Definitely a good starter camera, or budget camera.
