These bowls are the right size for main dishes like ramen, pasta and rice dishes and salads. They may be little big for a side dishes. They're also great as serving dishes for for a small family or for dips at a party. I love the rich coloring (I have the blue bowls). Great purchase!

The media could not be loaded. Let me start by saying that I did not need new dinnerware, but I happened across these bowls while perusing Amazon. They were beautiful and I put them in my wishlist to decide for a later day, since they are a bit pricy. I am frugal. My original dinnerware set came from Walmart at $1 a plate and I was still happy with them. As time passed, every time I went on the Amazon website, I would look at these bowls again and again and again. I just loved them, but they were way more expensive than I would normally spend on myself for something I don’t need. Well, I decided for my birthday I was going to splurge and get these because I loved them so much. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I actually did a happy dance when opening the boxes. They are even more beautiful in person and worth every penny. I will warn you, each bowl will not be a replica of one another. There will be varying differences in the colors, but still in the same family. I actually like that. It is like each bowl has its own personality. You can see from the pictures all the different shades, but still with similarity. The pictures attached are of the two most varied bowls so you can see the potential of coloring. They stack easily in my cabinet as well. I love the uneven surface on the outside of the bowl. This does not impede the bowl being able to sit flat/flush to the table. It is merely decorative. The color is a dark Blue which is my favorite color. They feel durable. Not too heavy, not too light. Heavier than my Walmart glass plates, however. My only downside was that they come in only a 6 pack. I felt I needed more bowls than that so I bought two packages. Twelve is definitely more than I need, but hey, now I have extras if I drop one. They came very well packed, are beautiful colors (I got the blue) and definitely are a great addition to our kitchen. They fill that place between a full dinner plate and a smaller cereal type bowl.
