  • Great quality for a low price
I've been using for about a few days, and after the initial setup and updates, this tablet has been quite impressive. The screen is beautiful, the bezels are thin, you get a lot of on board storage, Windows 11, and a processor that, while not winning any awards, is more than sufficient for most things that aren't too demanding. For the price, you aren't going to find a better deal anywhere. The type cover, while cheap, is a nice addition to the package, and I'm glad that it was included. The one downside that I've discovered about it, is that the type cover drains the battery when connected to the tablet. That's even when the tablet is turned off, or in sleep mode. It stinks because I have a case that was designed to include the type cover, but it magnetically connects, so there's no way for me to use the case with the type cover without the battery drain being an issue. Not a total problem, as I need my own keyboard and mouse for more demanding tasks, but more of a minor setback if using the type cover was my intent. All in all, you still aren't going to find a better tablet for the price. With or without a keyboard included. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a Surface Go like tablet that doesn't want to waste 4-8 hundred dollars on something that is not exactly marginally better. ... show more

  • Amazing Value for the Money
I bought this for $270 with the $40 off coupon. I love the Microsoft Surface Pro but only really use it for the tablet functionality as I still prefer dedicated laptops when using a keyboard. So I could not justify the $800+ price (that's a very discounted street price) for a surface to just use as a Windows tablet. Saw this "surface pro" looking device. VERY skeptical given the price, but ordered to try since I could return for Free. I have held on to (an even more expensive) Surface Pro 9 so I could compare the 2 before I return the Surface. WOW. I am VERY pleasantly surprised! So what do you get for 1/3 the price of a Surface Pro 8? First - the screen is AMAZING. Beautiful, crisp, narrow bezels, wide viewing angles, very bright and pretty much a match for the Surface Pro!! I was really surprised. (The screen, btw, from what I could figure out, is made by BOE Technology, a $35 Billion revenue company that is a very big player in screen technology - which bodes well for all component choices in this device.) The case is also metal. Not as "solid" feeling as the magnesium (and now aluminum) chassis MS gives you - but still very nice and a huge step up from the plastic you would expect in this price range. I have run MS office 2019 on it - and all the core apps are snappy and very responsive (no noticeable lag with a couple apps open), but I have also not had open a massive, complex spreadsheet. And unlike the surface pro 8 and 9, there is still a card reader (miniSD) built in for memory expansion or file transfers . What do you give up? A few things that are fine for me (given the price). Biggest is the processor - this is a (recent generation) intel Celeron with 4 cores/4-threads, which is a very low end processor. By comparison, the i3 and i5 processors that were available in the Surface pro 8 are roughly 2x (i3 single, multi) and 2x/3x (i5 single, multi) the speed. Potentially that's a lot. As I said, for office and the other uses I have, it doesn't feel laggy AT ALL. But this is probably not the machine you want to run photoshop and other more demanding apps on. The keyboard (which is connector powered, similar to the surface pro and takes it's power from the main unit) is CHEAPPPP! The connector doesn't stay connected well. Very cheap feeling and looking. For my mostly tablet use, this is fine - but if I needed a good keyboard, then at the very least I would buy a separate blue tooth one. This device does not support a pen (other than probably the plain vanilla, non-precise Capacitive pens). And the biggest question of all that will take time to answer is long term reliability. How well made is this device and how well does it hold up over time with reasonable care. Can't tell by looking at it but I'd be surprised if it holds up as long as the surface pro. VERDICT??? For $270, this is a WINNER!!! For my target use. There's no way I expected a Surface at this price. Not even close. But I am really surprised, stunned even, at how great this thing looks and performs for the money. I'd say it's a STEAL! I am definitely keeping it and will report back down the road on how it holds up. ... show more

  • Absolutely love this tablet computer!
I love the style of this tablet. The screen is so crisp and clear. Everything loads quick. The kickstand is easy to open and so sturdy. The keyboard clicks on and off really easy but stays attached really well. The tablet is a a wonderful size and just perfect. The charger plug is really weird, but I have many type c chargers so it's not a problem for me. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this tablet. ... show more

  • absolute garbage
pro: nice feel to it, solid tho the balance is off by the light keyboard. the built in stand is nice too. sound is fine enough. nice ram and storage capacity. cons: extreme lag in touch response. crashes when trying to load basic web pages. had to quit loading screens using tasks. froze and crashed when trying to open the built in microsoft edge. bogs down when opening files. numerous touches to get any response for closing, opening screens. and then when it does it registered all the other touches and opens them all at once. this is an infuriating tablet. there is no brain to drive the computer, all that ram and storage is for naught. thought my partner was exaggerating when he slapped it across the room for its nonresponsiveness but i have to agree. its crap. he did end up using it to watch movies on and the larger screen was good for that. but he said he had to get used to the slow response and work around it. but for 350 you can buy a few kindle fire 10s to watch streams with if thats what you are going to use it for. i would spend a bit more to get a proper tablet and skip this hot mess. waste of money. i refrained from slapping it across the room in frustration but barely. i really wanted to use this for gaming light games in my bed. will have to keep searching ... show more

  • Great value, but fragile
I don't think there is a better value on a windows tablet anywhere. Very capable machine for what I needed-coffee table tablet (document editing, light gaming, browsing, misc. utility programs). It runs full Windows 11 with ease. That being said, it is very fragile. Mine only lasted 4 months (with very light usage, never dropped) till the screen conked out. Not cracked - scrambled screen like something in the video processor burnt out or got disconnected. I am conflicted, but will probably buy another to see if I just got a lemon. Touch screen is pretty bright, but shows every finger print. Probably worth getting a matte screen protector. ... show more

  • Excellent screen and solid performance
I received the VGKE Win 11 tablet the next day after I placed the order. The first experience is great once all windows updates were installed. The display is brilliant and while the Celeron is not a rocket it does the job. The tablet looks fairly sturdy but we'll see after my first travels. For my purposes the price tag is unbeatable vs. a Surface ... show more
