    • Great machine but if your looking for precise SAE holes look elsewhere

If your looking for precise SAE holes you might want to plan different. For example, the bit that is labeled "26mm" actually measures 1.17". 26mm is supposed to be 1.02". I did check the rest of the drills that come with it and they are all the same way, around about .015 bigger than what they should be. Not knowing this before hand, I was able to adjust my project. The conventional drill chuck that comes with this rig makes the assembly so long that you can only use very small in length drill bits. If it wasn't for these 2 problems, I would have given 5 stars. As far as actual drilling, the machine is awesome. Really strong magnet. Used some Tap Magic cutting fluid and made it even better. ... show more

This review is for the Vevor 1550W 10 Speed Variable, 2" Max Bit, Mag Drill. I bought this drill for helping out with pins and bushings on my backhoe, which will be mostly horizontal drilling. I have only received the drill a week ago, and trying everything out, it will work great. The annular cutter drilled a perfect hole, and when I put the drill chuck on with a 1/2" drill bit, it spun perfectly. The drill takes the 3/4" Weldon shank annular bits. My only complaint is that I didn't have this drill last winter when I rebuilt pins and bushings, this would have saved me a lot of hard work and time. Things I seen on Vevor reviews was - able to start drill before the magnet was engaged, drill not spinning true. Mabe Vevor made some upgrades, because the one I pruchased - the motor will not run until the magnet is engaged and it spins perfectly, annular bits and drill chuck. ... show more

My observation was the maker improved quality even branding their products which encouraged me to buy. The body is metal, it works well and is heavy as it should be. I was surprised as it is much better than I expected. The speed is variable and the magnet is strong. It came with the portabroca. Im glad I waited before purchasing the portabroca. This saved me about $36. The drill came with several accessories. I am very pleased. I am excited to go make some holes! Not a paid review! Unfortunately, I had to purchase this product twice. First one was lost in transit, was issued a full refund. I purchased the kit that came with six annular cutters and drill chuck. The provided annular cutters seem to be of decent quality, the drill chuck on the other hand seems cheap. The arbor has a touch of play in it probably not the best unit for extreme precision. The magnet is extremely strong and the drill is reversible. It has a quick connect style arbor that hold the cutters. Not sure if this is a proprietary set up or if regular two sided cutters will fit properly, I have not seen this set up before. That being said, if regular cutters fit and work properly, then the quick connect seems to be a bonus. The unit has an onboard coolant/lube reservoir. However, mine did not come with the hose as it was described making it useless. If purchasing for daily or frequent use, I would probably recommend going with a brand like “Hougen” or a brand of similar quality. But for occasional use this seems to be a good product at a budget conscious price point. ... show more

Purchase this as I own a mobile welding company and run it off the power of my welding machine. This mag drill has a lot of torque as I expected it to when I researched it, it has not let me down. It is not going to drill a cylinder out of a engine perfectly, but it is more than perfect for everything I do. I would rather spend this type of money, then triple the price. very happy. I made new handles and a whole drilling jig for my projects using the drill.the bottom of the box collapsed during shipping and the handles and other parts got lost. I got a little discount for the lost parts because I didn’t want to return it because I needed it right away. I am satisfied with the 1500watt beast.
