  • Good cooler, nice ARGB touch, very reasonably priced.
Color: Black
Keeps my R9 5900X at ~33° C while idle, ~59° C max during a stress test on all threads at default clock speeds for several minutes, but as high as ~85° C while doing an overclocked stress test (I don't run it this way, just wanted to see how it would do). The included ARGB fan sync'd up with my existing Aura Sync setup automatically, and the fan attached easily to the heatsink... once I figured out how I was supposed to do it. The instructions were lacking a bit but the Amazon product picture helped figure it out. That and the cooler was difficult to mount to the motherboard but I feel like that's pretty standard. Even the stock cooler on my older R5 3600 was a pain to mount. Either way a great value for the money that performs well and looks good. It's a good value at full price and even better if you can find it on sale as I did. Wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on overclocking or have a processor with a higher TDP, and you'll likely get higher boost speeds with something else but I'm happy with what I paid and how it turned out. ... show more

  • Cooks my moderate PC build like a boss!
Color: Black
For the price these things can’t be beat. I’m not running a monster rig by any means. I have a slightly clocked GTX1060 6gb and a Ryzen 7 1700X on an Asus Prime B350M-A with 16gb of Ram. As i said nothing crazy, it’s a good little workhorse machine and plays most of the stuff I enjoy great with no real issues. I had a Wraith cooler before and it was awful at keeping temps down and was fairly noisy. This new cooler looks good, and keeps me in the 50° range under normal gaming stresses. Real hardcore stuff will push me into the mid to high 60’s. The fans pretty quiet under load as well, so it’s a serious win for the price. If your running air cooled rig’s these are rock solid for $30. ... show more

  • This is a great value!
Color: White
This cooler is an amazing value, it does its job and cools the CPU quite well (Make sure that you read the instructions on bracket placement and TIGHTEN THE SCREWS). At first, the CPU was overheating but it was because you really have to tighten the screws, be careful with the motherboard though. After some tinkering since it was my first cooler install, I got it to work perfectly, I am very satisfied! PROS: - Comes with brackets and instructions for both Intel and AMD (Make sure you read them carefully). - It is VERY EFFECTIVE so you might be able to turn the speed down to make it quieter. - The RGBs look great and are very bright. I was able to control them with the motherboard app. - Plenty of space for RAM. CONS: - Read the instructions carefully, the bracket installation is not so straightforward (AMD). - It can be difficult to tighten as the screws are close to the cooler frame. - You really have to tighten the cooler a lot in order to make contact with the CPU (be careful with the motherboard). - Mounting or dismounting the fan is extremely difficult (I used a screwdriver to wedge it out). At least it is secure. ... show more

  • Good, Can be better.
Color: Black
test bench ryzen 7 2700x Cons: 1. PITA to install. (not easy as it could be) 2. will only install in ONE DIRECTION, in my case it's the WRONG direction. 3. Doesn't come with a second fan. 4. rgb fan should be the other connector type. 5. rgb should have more variety of color, this fan ruins the look if you're into unicorn vomit, this isn't for you. 6. oh, did i mention, the mounting system is terrible? well, it's terrible. if you have lobster claws, you will be unable to install this correctly. I have installed thousands (yes thousands) of cpu coolers... this one is terrible by all measures. 7. the springs should be more stiff, a TINY amount of pressure on the end of the tower causes it to separate from the IHS. 8. the fan blades could be made better to move more air and be quieter. 9. the fan is limited, it has low static pressure, the blades have no geometry to reduce noise, and it has a low rpm limit. You can always control the fan speed via software to control noise and temps, but if your fan blades are just loud to begin with and your rpm's, flow rate, and static pressure are no good out of the box, then there's nothing you can do outside of buying a better fan. 10. please spend less money on rgb and more money on fan quality/static pressure/noise levels. 11. quality control is garbage. I found a bunch of (thankfully minor) issues with the product. from the packaging, all the way down to bent fins out of the box. It's just not a tier 1 product. 12. make sure your case is wide enough to handle this tower, it is very tall. pros 1. cheap af 2. no really, it's cheap af 3. it's better than the stock cooler (not saying much) - for example: you can potentially go from 3.6-3.7ghz on all cores during a full load, eg: blender render tests, to 4.0-4.1 all core boost (depending on ambient temp) 3.9ghz seems very stable at my ambient temp with this processor and this cooler. 4. the machined surface technically could be much smoother...however, I don't know if that would help it, it's actually rather good as it is, especially considering the price. 5. it's literally 1/4 the price of a noctua or less, and delivers 70-80% of the results 6. i used the included thermal goo, seems okay so far, will see how it degrades over time (my hopes are not high) 7. ram clearance seems okay. might have to install a Pull only config on something like an itx build. but then again, if you're doing itx, you'll prolly be buying noctua anyhow. Final thoughts.... if you have to replace the fan or add another fan, it cannot be rotated to install in the proper direction, and you have to buy quality thermal goop, it's probably not a great deal. HOWEVER, if you already have thermal goo (or don't care about replacing their off brand garbage in 6 months) some good fans, and/or an OEM proc (no cooler included), then this might be a great deal. Oh, and it IS quieter than the stock AMD wraith cooler, but not by much. TLDR: this is cheap af and better than the stock fan by quite a lot. It also outperforms the most popular HSF in the price category which is the hyper 212, i have one of those as well. it's great, but this one is better (slightly) somehow while being cheaper. ... show more
