Wow wow wow. This lamp far exceeded my expectations. The frame is all metal and easy to assemble. It's also incredibly light — you can easily lift the whole lamp with one hand. Yet it feels sturdy. No wobble. Note: the legs are locked in at a certain angle. No option to squeeze them together or expand. The shade is bigger than I envisioned but lovely. With the light on at night, the black fabric lets a fair amount of light through, makIng it look a kind of gray. Most of the light spills out the top and bottom, however. Where to start, I bought this lamp because of its great style, color, description was affordable etc all that i was looking for and all at such a great price So excited to get it whats not to love right? Unfortunately except the fact that yes it is a lamp, its style, price, color, & height, thats it its only together up right is because i had to try and balance all the broken unattached warped bent cheap and filmsy parts together and if bumped at all it all falls apart in pic ypu can see issues and even those look better than what is really looked like right out of the box. I didnt even care so much anymore about its esthetic issues i just at least wanted to use it move it etc like any floor lamp you would buy but its not even doing that definitely disappointing us it till i go replace it lamp aonly uprighg because its balanced in a way that i can try to still use it disappointing id save frustration time, money, a trip to ups to return it the room in your dumpster and your light bulb .. ... show more

Simple and modern. These lamps were a perfect compliment to our new house. The lamp shades are a little flimsy and hard to assemble but once they're up it's fine. We've got little ones and one lamp fell twice so the shade broke off I'm looking for a replacement now. Other shades work but don't match tve second lamp. I like the tripod design, and how big the shade is. this gives the lamp a sense of glamour. The instructions are pictures showing how to assemble. The lamp stand was easy, but the shade was a challenge because of the shape. If you decide to buy this lamp, start with part of the frame that fits over the bulb. be sure that the frame is not upside down, try it over the fixture, then put the other frame in the shade. The rubber insert for the frame to be in is not difficult unless you stretch it a little. The adhesive that was used for the rubber insert for the frame is not very strong, and the adhesive strip to join the shade ends is not very strong. We woke up this morning and had to use some Alien Tape on it. We hope it will hold. The fixture is assembled, but it was lopsided, we had to work with it. We like this lamp, but . . . it is not a good value for the money., unless you are handy. ... show more

The lamp is strikingly beautiful. It is truly a statement piece. The stand is extremely sturdy. Puts out a nice ambience of lighting. Disappointed in a few elements: the shade comes in three pieces and has to be rolled out and assembled. There were a few creases from shipping that I could not get to come out. In addition when screwing on the clamp, the plastic broke and I had to find a replacement so the shade will sit evenly. Again, gorgeous piece, and that is why I am keeping it. I purchased this lamp as a gift about two years ago. A few weeks ago I decided to order my self one. What an embarrassment. Mine came defective. I asked my friend about the one I purchased her. She goes on to tell me. That since it was a gift. She didn't want to complain., But just over a year ago. Her lamp shade separated from the molding that is used to hold the shade on the frame?!
