I absolutely love this product! It’s easy for me to use and large enough for my baby to have fun in it. I love that I can use it indoors and outdoors. My only issue (which I already notified Amazon about and they acknowledged the problem) was that a large rusty nail was in my packaging. I’m not sure if this was in the Veer or Amazon package. It fell out as I was opening it and I’m glad I noticed it as I have a dog and baby crawling on the floor. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Our Veer Basecamp broke after limited use. We had used the tent across two summers or approximately 10 uses. Veer said they wouldn’t replace because we bought two years ago and they only have a 1 year warranty period. The locking mechanism became a weapon when I last tried to set it up at the lake trapping my hand in the arms. I am so thankful this product didn’t hurt my children however since it broke when we needed it we were without proper shade for a family day outside with my 1 and 3 year olds. Bought this for our beach trip this year. Didn’t know what to expect. Let me just tell you it took less than five minutes to set it up, pin it down, and be sitting down inside it the first time we tried. Packing it up was about the same amount of time. Each time we set it up it took less and less time, to the point where we would have the tent setup before our friends got their two chairs and blanket laid out. This is an amazing tent. It’s built better than anything else you can take to the beach and it’s easy to pack up. We love that you can put all sides down completely, or with only the mesh up, or fully closed off. It is about the same weight as some of the umbrellas I’ve seen, and it comes in a nice water-resistant case, so it’s easy to carry. Also, it’s tall enough internally where you can set up your beach chairs and sit in the tent for shade. It’s on the expensive side, yes, but this thing will be coming on all of our beach trips going forward, and it will most definitely outlast the life of 4-5+ umbrellas (and it’s nowhere near as dangerous as having a large metal spike holding a parachute - aka umbrella - down when it gets windy out!). ... show more

This tent was a good investment. We used it for baseball practices and games. My 10 month old and 5 year old fit perfectly inside and had plenty of room to move around. The mesh all around allowed it to stay cool and in the sun it was easy to throw the cover on top. Unfortunately we only got a few uses out of it before my husband forgot it at the baseball field and we no longer have it anymore. But I would definitely buy again. ... show more

I chose this item because I liked the idea of have a play tent that is light weight and and protects against insects. And it does that. But huge con for the tent is the color. White is a terrible color for a tent that is meant for babies and toddlers, especially to be used out doors. The white mesh get dirty easily and you find yourself on edge when you child is covered in food, dirt etc and they put the face and their hands up against the mesh before you have a chance to clean them up. Also the black material on the base camp is becoming discolored after a few uses this summer. Don't get me wrong, I love the product, just feel like there is definitely room for improvement. I have reached out to veer on several occasions about the tent, their wagon, their air mattress and a basket I got for the wagon and I have been going back and forth sending them pictures and try to get someone from their team to reach out on their products. Until now I don't seem to get anywhere and I am getting tired of have to send pictures after pictures of the items and serial numbers.
