I highly suggest building with two people. Unless you are confident to do it by yourself. It took me four hours to build. (That’s a different story) but the only thing I didn’t give it five because one of the pieces won’t screw on so I had to tighten with a shoe lace. My bed is in a great condition. Loved it’s so sturdy and well made and definitely made to be squeak free for a very long time. Only one thing to instructions is add that it’s easier to put together with one more person to align it well, otherwise it takes a little more time if done by oneself. Very definitely a great 12” space below bed to place bins to organize more things. My doggy even loves to get in there during fireworks scare. I placed a skirt to cover the lower half. Easy To assemble, sturdy, nice frame. Disclaimer - I used a power screwdriver and an Allen Head bit. You should too - for anything like this. Big time saver. Frame is mostly large pre-built pieces (headboard, footboard, platform assemblies, sides and feet). Directions are clear. Bed looks very nice but bar in the middle is felt when laying on it, suggest at least a 10 inch mattress. I got an 8 inch and to thin, makes it feel uneven because the middle bar.
