As others have said, this dash camera is fantastic. Super clear videos in and out of the car, great audio, GPS location, different resolutions according to what you need, the videos are excellent at night, and there's a handy app that is (fairly) easy to use. There are other features, including voice control, that I won't be using but am impressed they are in the dash cam. Installation is very straightforward, and once I got the settings dialed in, I was happy I could just let the camera do its thing and not worry about missing anything in or out of the car; set it and forget it. I currently have the camera plugged into the auxiliary power outlet, which works great but only when the car is on. I purchased and intend to install the optional hardwire kit so the dash cam will keep rolling while the car is parked, etc. The ONLY downside to this camera is that it doesn't come with an SD memory card, so you'll need to provide your own card. I recently got the Vantrue N2X dash cam, and it has exceeded my expectations. The dual camera setup with 2.7K resolution provides crystal-clear footage both inside and outside the car (inside dash cam and front dash cam). The 5G WiFi connectivity is a game-changer, making it super easy to transfer videos to my phone. The Starvis 2 HDR technology ensures great video quality even in low light conditions, and the IR Night Vision is perfect for night drives. The installation is a bit different from other dash cams as it uses an adhesive pad to attach to the windshield instead of a suction cup. This means you need to be sure you install it where you want it the first time. However, it does provide a more secure and permanent installation. (I did end up moving it from one location to another with the same adhesive pad - this worked fine.) It’s worth noting that the Vantrue N2X does not have the option to add a rear camera; it only has an inside cabin camera. The build quality feels premium, and the menu system is user-friendly with various settings for customization based on your needs. Purchased this camera last week. So far, quality has been great. I changed from a 4k camera with a much worse sensor. So even though this is 2.7k rather than 4k, the picture quality is better because the sensor is better. I can finally read license plates. Things I've noticed compared to other cameras: -Really great picture quality -UI is fast and easy to use -You can have the screen automatically turn off so it isn't distracting -Android app works well and download happens fairly quick over 5ghz. It allows you to download multiple videos at a time. -There is a Windows program that lets you play video and show the GPS/map too. -So far, seems to be very reliable with video Cons: - USB-C that is on the mounting bracket is not fully USB-C compliant. It won't work with usb-C PD power. You have to either use the built-in lighter adapter or another adapter with a USB-A socket and a USB-a to USB-C cable. The usb-c- on the side of the camera, which is supposed to be for PC hookup, does work with usb-C PD though. (Workaround). -the included lighter adapter wouldn't work in my car (Mercedes GLK). It worked in my wife's car though. So the adapter works, just maybe doesn't fit right with my car. Otherwise a great camera. I ended up powering the camera from a usb-C PD socket in my car using the usb-C socket on the side of the camera, rather than the DC Input on the mounting bracket. Would recommend! ... show more
