  • Solid Product
Style: Red Cage
I would definitely recommend this product if you are in the market. I was a little weary because of the price being so cheap compared to a lot of other products, but after setting this up and using it for a week now I could not be happier with my purchase. The cage is solid, easy to use, more than sufficient in both height and width (I am 6 2 180) and gives no indication it cant handle its advertised 1,200 lbs. I was also pleasantly surprised by the cable set up. I had to add WD40 so that it would slide smoother as I do not like when it gets "choppy" but other than that it works pretty well...almost as good as the high dollar equipment at your local gym (but not quite). Overall this cage more than meets my 6x a week workout needs and for this price, you can't go wrong. ... show more

  • Decent value for the money
Style: Silver Cage
Arrived faster than stated. Works as expected. I love the ease of adjusting the weight catches and the stop bars to catch the weights. I'm 265 and the pull up bar and dip bars hold me with no problem. Everything seems durable enough after a few uses. Quick assembly using a drill with a socket attachment and wrench, just remember not to over tighten. I over tightened the clips that hold the pulley wheels causing them to bend in and apply pressure to the pulley wheels, but that was my fault. The assembly instructions could have been a little better. The reason for the low rating is because it is extremely shaky when racking heavy weight. It needs a way to mount to the floor and/or wall to prevent the shakiness when racking weights, doing pull ups, etc... I picked this over the heavier duty one from the local sporting goods store that was the same price because of the pulleys being included on this unit, but then found pulleys on Amazon that can be attached to any cage (if I had known about these, I would have gone with the heavier duty unit). All things considered, this is a decent value for the money, but there are better options for just a little more money. Update: Changed to 5 stars for great customer service. ... show more

  • Full Product Review (Long Read)
Style: Silver Cage
For those of you that don't have a lot of space and ceiling height, this rack is a good option. Due to an I-Beam running through the middle of my ceiling, I was limited to what I could get. Price - My research took me to Rogue, Titan, Rep Fitness and Force USA. All good brands. My ultimate decision came to Height, Lat Bar attachment and Price. Vanswe was the cheapest by far. I found a coupon online and got it down to like $329. Plus I bought it during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend. Free Shipping also helped. Shipping - Horror Story, but not Vanswe's fault at all. The Rack was shipped in 2 separate boxes. One box came on time, one came 4 days late. FedEx delivered it to the wrong address twice, then when I asked them just to ship it to my house, they sent it to the original location which was a FedEx Store. It was crazy. I dont know if it is possible, but it would be nice if you could ship one box with the frame parts, nuts and bolts, and then the 2nd box with the other accessories. I was ready to go with the 1st box, but it didn't have everything I needed. The boxes were heavy, and corners were damaged, but the contents were packaged well. Getting Started - If you don't have one, get two 17mm socket wrenches, or one and then an adjustable wrench. Set aside two hours, and get this thing installed in one setting. I read some reviews that some people had help. With limited space, that might be a little uncomfortable. Installation - Installation was straight forward EXCEPT for the pulley system (I'll get to that shortly). The rack was easy. Just follow the directions. The packaging was labeled properly, especially the nuts and bolts package. The numbers were on the individual package. No guessing or trying to match the real bolt to a scaled drawing. Do not fully tighten until your entire rack is loosely assembled. Pulley Installation - I had never put one together before. Make sure really look at the instruction and some internet pictures of what it looks like. I was so confused. I really can describe it, but I had to look at other pics and other reviews to understand the low and high pulleys. Once everything is put together, it is a really nice rack. I placed it on the 2x2 exercise mats with 3/4" thick plywood underneath. It slides a bit if you try to slide it, which was good because I had limited space for the lower weight holders and my 45lb plates. There is some side to side sway, but very little movement back and forth. I'm 5'9" 245lb. Right now I can do about for decent pullups, and I don't have any concern about the pull-up bar coming down or anything tipping over. Now when I saw my son who is 6'-2" 280 try to do pull-ups, it was a little scary, but everything held. Someone had recommended oiling up the moving parts. I bought some that was in a spray can, and it works well. It was honestly fine without the additional oil. Accessories - If you buy the Lat Pull Down accessory, bite the bullet and buy a Lat Pull Down bar and the small curl bat with the rotating centerpiece. Not sure exactly what it's called, but you know what I'm talking about. Using the lat pulldown bar is ok, but not for tricep pulldowns. The other bar, in my opinion, is only good for rows if anything. The JCups are fine. I also have a set that came with the long safety bar. Space for squatting - My son, at 6'2" is able to squat inside the rack just fine. I even bought a set fo Titan MonoLifts so he didnt have to walk the plates to the JCups. Pull Up Bar - If you noticed, my pull up bar is upside down. My ceiling is 89" from the top of my exercise mats. It still works just fine. Yes I have to bend my knees, but it works for what I need it for. Bonus - When I opened the first box, I received a bonus gift. I forgot all 4 choices, but the one I chose was the suspension trainers. ... show more
