I've switched over both my F-150 and my Charger to this fluid, and both vehicles seem to shift more smoothly than with the factory fluid. Both OEM fluids for these vehicles are not fully synthetic like Maxlife ATF. The Charger was especially less expensive to switch over... Chrysler's OEM fluid costs several times more than Maxlife. Great product. I use it for my transmission changes ever 30,000 miles. Transmission shifts very smooth. If you wait until 80000 miles or aka lifetime as manufacturers says, you're asking for trouble. Great oil is cheaper than a new transmission.

I’ve been using this ATF in my 2008 Toyota Tacoma V6 for transmission drain and refills and for my power steering and I think it’s great value for a quality ATF and a trusted brand. When I first bought my Tacoma I would buy the OEM ATF from the Toyota dealer for like double the price. After quite a bit of research I decided to make the switch to Valvoline and no problems so far. Saving huge money not having to drive to a dealer to get their over priced fluid because there’s none in my area and this gets dropped off at my local post office. Can’t beat it. ... show more

This is a excellent synthetic ATf that was fully compatible for my 2010 Lexus RX350 (oem Toyota WS fluid). This was the best price, by far, at Amazon I could find it at anywhere. But it arrived with no packaging material inside the box, just lying on its side so it could slide & crush the other item in there also. Thankfully there was no leaking! Common sense says: This 1 gal. container of ATF should have been in a shaped different box so it could sit upright & my other fragile item protected in some manner (bubble wrap / air cushion packet). ... show more

    • I live in the mountains and change my fluid all the time.

I keep the fluid in my transmission clean by flushing. I open the transmission cooler going to the radiator and flush the fluid repeatedly until it looks like new. I do this every 15,000 miles and I’ve never had a transmission problem. I have 160,000 miles on a Buick.
