As long as they are full synthetic oil and has excellent rating then it is good for my car. Have used it, mix and match, with other makers of engine oil for the past 30 years and none of them croaked my cars so I'm not going to say it is not good. I buy them only when they are on sale.

With so many different brands of oil out there, it can be difficult to make a selection. This Valvoline Advanced Full Synthetic motor oil is an excellent choice for a 2012 Chevy Equinox. I've never had any problems with it and it has the DEXOS label on it which is recommended for this type of vehicle. The oil seems to last for a reasonable amount of time, and if you miss your next scheduled oil change, chances are that this oil will still have enough life left in it to buy you a few more weeks or miles until your next change. ... show more

Been running Valvoline oil for years and finally went full synthetic a couple of years ago. There has been no issues in mileage or performance and at the oil change, we noticed the oil still had good viscosity. This is a much better price than parts stores.
