Their one-piece extruded construction eliminates the possibility of leakage with baffles every 18" for surge control. I bought two of these tanks for my Short Bus RV conversion project, one fresh and one grey water tank. I bought these because of the fact that they are ABS, I drilled a big whole in the side of one and "welded" in a big 1.5" ABS fill spout in the side of the fresh tank with some ABS glue and did the same for the drain on the grey. I have had these tanks for a little over a year now and have had absolutely no issues with them, just make sure you give plenty of time for the glue to set up if you do any customizing. The media could not be loaded. I order the Valterra R8030 (15 gallon). It came well packed in a box but upon filling it up it had a sever leak, you can see the cracked weld circled in red in the photo. They quickly sent a replacement which was an improvement in that it leaked more slowly… doesn’t anyone pressure test these before shipping them out? Now it’s a month later and I have a camping trip coming up in 5 days and I have no water tank. When I try to return this Amazon tells me an error has occurred, can I get a replacement that doesn’t leak please! ... show more

This is a cool modular design, so many different sizes can be purchased with the same width and thickness. Attaching fittings was easy with ABS glue from my local hardware store. It came with one open pipe plug drain and several bosses for other locations if I desired. There are no built in mounts. I had to make some straps to hold the tank in place. For a long time, I searched for a rectangular tank I could use for my camping trailer. All the ones that fit the dimensions I needed were roto molded and pricey! This one was a no-brainier...the fittings are good, but I do wish there were more elbow barb sizes available with the flat flange.
