  • Clears Drains Quicker, Faster & Cheaper!!!
Amongst full time RVers, most will agree that their top two concerns (other than financial) are related to plumbing and or electrical (ac & dc) systems. Of the two, plumbing issues are the most worrisome and often the most difficult to diagnose / correct. After numerous unsuccessful attempts to clear the severely clogged drain pipes for my black and gray water holding tanks, I hired a "professional RV plumber" to unclog the drains. The RV plumber spent nearly three hours (at a rate of $185/hour + $120 for the service call) attempting to unclog my drains with only limited success. When being presenting me with the $700 bill, the plumbing tech told me that he was able to clear and drain my black tank but not my gray water drain or tank. Are you f-ing kidding me? $700 and only half the problem was fixed. uggggghhhhhh! After a day or so of calming myself down, I continued my research to find a solution and eventually found a utube video advertising this product. Although initially skeptical, I ordered the Flow King product in hopes that it would be more useful than the plumber I hired. I received my package the next day, hooked it up as instructed and....... OH MY @#&$$& GOD!!! This thing was able to fully unclog both of my clogged drains and empty the entire contents of both of my holding tanks in under an hour!!! I have never been so impressed by a product's performance as I was with Flow King and gladly give it the highest possible rating because it really is the best purchase I have ever made on Amazon. I seldom write reviews or provide recommendations but Flow King is nothing short or remarkable and deserving of such accolades. ... show more

  • A valuable RV tool for over 10 years!
This was one of the first tools we bought for our 1st RV over 10 years ago, and it’s been the one I’ve been most satisfied with all these years! Experienced RV owners know how difficult it is to keep tank sensors working, especially the black tank. And if you frequently camp without full hook up sites like we do, you know how this makes it even more difficult. While it may sound gross, there is something extremely satisfying about being able to see what is exiting the tanks during dumping, especially when it FINALLY runs clear and all you see exiting is clear water. But being able to see what’s leaving your tanks is only part of the fun - The most important thing about this product is the combination of the valve to block the sewer hose and the water hose inlet which permits you to backfill the tanks. Having a full tank is key to emptying it as the added pressure helps remove debris. Filling it from the usual connections within the RV takes incredibly long (as the water pressure is much lower), so this saves a lot of time. While you can have someone watching it from the inside to see if the tank is full yet, I prefer to add a water meter to the line so I can do this all from outside (saving family member’s time and preventing a messy mistake). I use this for both the black and gray tanks and can usually have a clean tank and working sensors after a single flush or two. After over 10 years of frequent use we finally had to replace our original Flush King since many years of hot and cold weather and occasionally dropping it lead to one of the catch pins breaking off. Considering how long it lasted and how good it’s been, I had no reservations about buying the same model again. ... show more

  • Wow, worth every penny
I'm a first time RV owner and we just finished our initial RV trip. The Valterra Flush King valve is so simple and easy to use. As a "newbie", I was nervous about pumping out Black and Grey water tanks and ensuring the tanks stay clean, flushed, and empty for transits after a camping stay at a RV park. This back flush systems is awesome!! I couldn't recommend it more. ... show more

  • Be careful when installing this.
Had a (fortunately) minor issue on the first installation / use. The Flush King came loose from the RV septic connection. The Flush King T-handle and nozzle may need to be adjusted to clear the T-handles of either the Black or Grey tanks. This is simply done by loosening the four bolts/ nuts on the housing and rotate the assembly until you have the required clearance to clear all the handles. Then tighten the four bolts / nuts back down. Install the Flush King on the RV septic connection. This is where the problem began. I dumped the Black tank which was not full at the time with no issues. Then began back flushing the system in accordance with the instructions. I filled the tank with approx 23 gals of water. When dumping the black tank (2nd time) the Flush King twisted loose when the the T-handle was opened from the weight and volume of the rinse water coming from the tank. I managed to get the T-handle to the black water tank closed (RV side) but had a small mess of toilet paper on the black top. Fortunately no nasty poop. I reattached the Flush King and tried again. This time I had to hold the Flush King to make sure it stayed engaged to the RV's sewer connection until the initial flow had settled down. The Flush King unit works as it is advertised and did a good job with getting hung up material back flushed out of the tank. The prongs on the Flush King need to be a little more aggressive to hold the unit on the RV's sewer connection. This may be because of the angle I had to achieve to clear all the T-handles. I will be adding a 90 degree connection next to drop the water straight down instead of off to the side as mine currently is. Flush King construction and materials are very good other wise....just the prongs need a little better bite. Other wise this would have been a 5 star rating. ... show more

  • good RV product.
This product makes flushing your RV's holding tank easy and the location for the hose can be used to snake a 1/4 pressure wash line into the tank for extra cleaning.

  • No more plumbers for your RV septic
I don't put TP in the septic and yet I had a major clogged. I had 3 plumbers come and none could fix the clogged. Finally, I looked online and by chance I found this gadget. Wish I would have known about this nifty invention many years ago I probably would of saved over a grand in plumbing fees. Worth every penny. ... show more
