  • Fantastic product
These completely stop your awning from flapping! No need to roll up awning every time the wind picks up. My awning is 21 feet long and really used to be a hassle but no more.

  • Best De-flappers I have!
Just replaced my 18' patio awning and wanted to leave it out while camping, which is 3 months during the winter. We are near Brownsville about 30 minutes from the coastline. We have constant breezes, winds and gusts that keeps most awnings rolled up. We've had daily winds around 15 mph, frontal passages of 25-35 mph and periodic gusts almost weekly in the 30-50 mph range. I have 4 Awnbrellas bows, which I purchased used and 3 pair of Awning Buddys. The spacing of the bows is roughly 4', 3', 3', 3', 4'. I added a couple of turns to the awning buddy clamps, which seemed to hold well without distorting the clamping surface. The awning arms are diagonal back to the coach body and I use ground screws to anchor the ends of the roller to keep the awning taught with nylon strap ratchet tie-downs. I put it up about 5 weeks ago after replacing the fabric, and it is still there. Awning Buddys haven't moved, bows haven't moved. Have faced into the wind 95% of the time. During the last cold front we were the only rig with an awning still out (out of a 100 or so units). We have very little noise from the patio awning. It is actually quieter than the slide out awnings. ... show more

  • They do the job
The straps that came with it were too short, but the company had no problem replacing them with longer ones at no extra charge. They work great

  • Good but could be better
I have used these clamps for about a month now. They are easy to use. They however do not hold really tight as I think they should. I've had to re-attach one of them several times because of the high winds that come ahead of the storms here in the upper desert of NM. But for the most part not a bad purchase! ... show more

  • Straps to short
Happy to found these time will tell if they hold up, be warned you may need to purchased longer Velcro straps, the 12” ones were to short for my awning 98 Holiday Rambler, easy enough to remedy

  • Didn't hold up in stronger puffs of wind
I was hoping these would work. Having a wider gripping surface than their competitor, I thought and was hoping these would do the job. But they didn't and I gave them a fair chance by moving them to different parts of the awning. As I'm typing this, reflecting back on the installation part of things, I seem to recall somewhat of a struggle with their clamp/hold down system too. So I sent them back, (I love Amazon Prime's return policy). Bought the smaller type tarp clamps and "button bungee's" and these work the best. You can find these somewhere on Amazon too. This system I'm using now works the best. Hope this helps. -Mike ... show more
