  • Game changer, awesome
So nice to shave and not need to clean the sink or even rinse off. The vacuum is super strong and I legit don't think it's ever failed to suck up the beard hairs as they're cut. Legit don't even need to rinse off. Battery life is insanely good as well, it was charged from new and never died after using it for weeks but I threw it on the charger just in case because I didn't want to not have it. Made in USA as well and honestly it's a game changer being able to trim or shave so neatly. ... show more

  • Decent cut, quiet, and keeps your sink nice and neat
So I've been cutting my own hair (and trimming my beard) for the past 25 years... ever since I was in the military. Simple buzz cuts. Short back and sides, starting with a #2 clipper comb and fading up to the top which is typically at a #6 comb. But it makes a mess and I've been laying down a sheet of plastic to cover the sink area every time I cut it. I had my doubts about this unit, but it seems to perform well thus far. I was actually surprised at how quiet it is and how easily it cut. And as I was cutting my hair, I kept checking the little hopper that catches the hair. You don't want to pack it up or the vacuum level will drop a bit and you might start to get some hair in the sink. So I emptied it a few times during the cut (only takes a few seconds to empty it). Things to know... the sizes are different... do NOT assume the numbers are your standard clipper comb sizes. they are actually in millimeters. So for those of you accustomed to the standardized combs, here's what you need to know: 1 (1/8in) 3mm 2 (1/4in) 6mm 3 (3/8in) 10mm 4 (1/2in) 13mm 5 (5/8in) 16mm 6 (3/4in) 19mm The height adjustment dial goes from 1-10 with the shorter comb attachment, and 11-20 with the longer one. So if you're used to using combs beyond a #6, this cutter will NOT adjust that far. You can dial it to 20 at most which is a bit beyond a #6 but not a 7. In any case, I did a full haircut and beard trim, and there were very few hairs in the sink when I was done (quick wipe to clean them out with a damp rag). The vacuum really does work and really does capture more than 99% of everything. This being my first time using it, I was extra careful and really took my time, especially at the beginning. It didn't run out of charge during that extended use, so that's another bonus. I may get daring enough to try it for a second time a few weeks from now when I do another cut... but it would be really bad if it ran out of juice mid-cut. So I'm not sure I want to test it like that. Which brings me to the one drawback I see... no indicator of how much battery remains. Other than that, it's a nice trimmer and easy to figure out and use. I almost never give 5 stars on a first review... it may earn a fifth star once I've owned it a while and the durability seems okay. Or it could lose some... time will tell! ... show more

  • Buyer Beware
I purchased this because I’d seen it on commercials on TV. I liked that it had a vacuum and was a handy size and neat design and was rechargeable. My 5 year old Norelco trimmer had started having problems and finally bit the dust a month or so after this one came in. So I got it out, read the instructions and charged it up. After using it for maybe a minute, it stopped working and never worked again. It wouldn’t do ANYTHING! Not even the little suction part for the vacuum would come on. I tried troubleshooting with no success. I couldn’t return to Amazon because I didn’t open it up and try it out as soon as it came in. There was a phone number to the company mfg on the box so I called them and asked if they knew of anything that I could try to get it back going or if I could send it to them for an exchange. They said No because I didn’t purchase it from them. So, I wasted all that money. So, I’d have to say Buyer Beware on this one. ... show more

  • Easy to use
I had my doubts about this beard trimmer, but after using it for two weeks, I love it. No more beard trimmings all over my bathroom counter, they are vacuumed into the trimmer. When finished trimming your beard, you just take off the cover and empty your beard trimmings into the trash can by using the supplied brush. I do not have to hear my wife giving me the comments, "can't you do something about the beard trimmings all over my countertop?" No more comments like that anymore, plus my beard looks trimmed all the time. Love the product. I cannot speak to the longevity of the battery yet as I have only had it for two weeks. But it is easy to use and easy to clean!! ... show more

  • Innovative concept. Better for longer beards
I liked this vacuum powered beard trimmer. It worked really well. It sucked up the whisker hairs and felt of good quality too. However be advised. It is very big. Like the size you'd use to cut your hair making it more difficult to manipulate for facial trimming. I feel this product is designed more for men who keep a longer beard. I keep a shorter stubble cut and the product is so big it was difficult to push the guard into your face to trim close. The guard and compartment design itself prevents close, consistent trims. What I really disliked was if you wanted to use just the blade as a clean up/detailed tool, not only do you have to take the guard off...but you also have to open the compartment which catches the beard trimmings so you can use the blade. That ultimately made this product not work for me the way I keep a short stubble beard. I wish they made a smaller version of this for those who just want to a beard/stubble trimmer only and fix the way you access the plain blade itself. ... show more
