I use this on my beard. The adjustment on the blade height makes it possible to trim my beard to the exact length I want it to be. Very quiet--and the receptacle for the cut hairs is easy to clean out. Highly recommend.

    • It works...But.....
The only thing I disliked about it, is that it could not cut the hair directly under my nose. You have to take it apart and use the blade itself. The rest of the beard was trimmed nicely. No spills of beard hair anyplace. Vaccume worked very well in sucking up the cut hair. If you trim close, you do have a little problem opening up the hair catcher. You have to turn the dial to a longer hair setting to be able to open up the shaver to dump the cut hairs. Thus, this could be addressed. Though I gave it a 4, I would highly recommend this for trimming beards. The small idiosyncrasies are easily ignored and overlooked and can be worked around very easily. ... show more

I purchased this because I’d seen it on commercials on TV. I liked that it had a vacuum and was a handy size and neat design and was rechargeable. My 5 year old Norelco trimmer had started having problems and finally bit the dust a month or so after this one came in. So I got it out, read the instructions and charged it up. After using it for maybe a minute, it stopped working and never worked again. It wouldn’t do ANYTHING! Not even the little suction part for the vacuum would come on. I tried troubleshooting with no success. I couldn’t return to Amazon because I didn’t open it up and try it out as soon as it came in. There was a phone number to the company mfg on the box so I called them and asked if they knew of anything that I could try to get it back going or if I could send it to them for an exchange. They said No because I didn’t purchase it from them. So, I wasted all that money. So, I’d have to say Buyer Beware on this one. ... show more

I bought this razor for my son for Christmas 2023. When he opened it, he actually laughed at the thought of a razor with a vacuum. When he finally used it on his beard, he was surprised at how good it worked. It doesn't vacuum all the hair, but does collect a large amount.

By no stretch of the imagination does this have the ability to vacuum all hair, but that is due to design engineering error, and a simple chat with them could GREATLY improve this product very easily into the best clippers out there!! (Be welcome to contact me, manufacturer) It does a well enough job to improve the mess normally left behind, and the thing I like most is the adjustable nature, vs having to switch out edge lengths, like normal ones. Although it's very similar, when for some reason the only way to empty out the hair compartment IS to remove the top edge... very odd, I don't think they thought that one through. There is such a large air gap from the extension of the edge, to where the vacuum is, clumps often get caught up on the forefront. WARNING: You simply cannot use these to cut a normal head of hair - you have to already have trimmed hair, and then use these to keep your hair trimmed up. Neither the compartment nor the edge guards have any ability to deal with pieces of hair that are not short and small. Very interesting using these, the feel difference from normal trimmers: You cannot tell very much by feeling, that hair is being cut. But as you continue moving across the head, you do begin to visually notice hair is leaving! It's quite odd and amusing. I appreciate it, as most clippers feel like they are hack-sawing every hair that is being severed, by motorously exerted efforts. Very smooth. Good job!! And for that, I keep using them (often, and regularly - the only way). ... show more

I like that all you have to do is turn a dial or the desired length. I love the fact there is no mess to clean up it is all vacuumed into a chamber. I have tried many a trimmer but finally I found the best one on the market. If you are looking for a trimmer look no further than the vacutrim.
