Great product. In fact the most amazing product EVER!! It was a fathers day gift given by my son and I would rate it as a dad's best friend!! It is absolutely flawless and resilient. Teh first charge lasted me a whole year. And then it would not charge again a second time. Just stopped charging. Almost a year had passed. And I wasn't sure about the warranty. Just would not recharge with the electrical cord they sent. Tried multiple outlets. Multiple days of charging. No success. My son advised me to call the manufacturer - a great company with great products. So I called Philips. Prompt response. took down my info. And mailed me a new one. But the new unit too wouldn't charge in any outlet! So I called them again. No one is a technical expert at their end. Just a customer service team. They offered to again mail me a 3rd one. I told them to only send the hand held. They still mailed the entire unit with all the attachments again. Just the way the world is nowadays. Such a waste. Anyway, tried charging and again same issue. None of them would charge. In any outlet. I checked all outlets with my phone charger and it was not the outlet issue. Very, very puzzling. So, this time, I decided to troubleshoot it myself. I am part of a generation that grew up with electronic devices that used to be repairable ("Right to Repair" in the EU is now a thing). My running theory was that perhaps the battery came discharged badly during storage (temperature or prolonged storage perhaps) or it might be a manufacturing issue. The unit though is fused, and sealed and there is no way to replace just the battery (what a shame). It is an integrated battery with the unit all in one. The unit meanwhile also comes with an older-USB piece (No end-piece to put into an outlet, though- which sucks). So, one day, frustrated, I dug out an older USB-type end piece and used that to connect their USB cord and plugged it into the electrical outlet to see if that charging method works. Many times rechargeable batteries need the exact, right voltage at a steady rate. perhaps teh adapter heads are configured badly. So I used the USB cable. Guess what? The unit re-charged!! Now I went back to the 2nd unit. And that charged as well with the USB cable!!! As did the first unit, too!! Tried every cord with every unit. It is the electrical cords that are faulty and won't work. Clearly, then, their electrical cord is designed for a specific voltage and current that is INCOMPATIBLE with the battery's charging requirements. So much for QA. And having no tech support to receive feedback. Ah well. It is 2024. ... show more

The unit works good & like the design. However, the off button easily triggered when holding it. Perhaps moving it down farther would help or going to a slide design. Lithium battery has good longevity.

I have found it hard to distinguish between a hair clipper and facial hair device and they are unequal. I shave my husband’s head every week and the last razor stopped cutting. We got several products none of which worked. Found this and it does as well as the last one. Plenty of power and cuts well. Speed is good and the size and durability are good also. ... show more

I have owned other Philips Norelco products before and they work ok, as well as other brands of trimmers and clippers, both wired and wireless. But this one just feels right from the get-go. Keep in mind I only had a few days using it, but I immediately fell in love. I am a person who grows THICK and coarse hair, and I have broken a few machines before as well as many machines that do not last long cutting my hair. when I cut my hair I have to go slow or else my hair will jam the teeth of the blade and pull my hair out, and it is painful, and since I cut my hair short or something bald-ish it takes about 55-90+ minutes to cut my hair. Before I started using this Norelco I was using both Conair hair clippers and as well as a Remington and that is how long it takes with those machines to cut my nasty, ugly as hair. But once I received this machine through the mail I charged it and once it was fully charged I went to my bathroom and started cutting, and I got to tell you this thing works surprisingly incredible, I cut my hair from 3.5 inches to bald in 20-35 minutes using the wide blade, it worked fast even though I was going pretty slow in case my hair jammed the teeth in the blade. I am impresst with his device, although caution if you press the moving part of the blade teeth anywhere on your skin it will shred it off, while I was shaving I was working on my mustache area going down and I accidentally nicked my lip and I rip my lip skin off and I started bleeding so careful. In conclusion, 11/10 would recommend it, will update if anything happens since it is only been a few days I bought it ... show more

I've had this thing for years now and it's probably one of the best purchases of my life. I really only charge it 2 or 3 times a year. And my dad and wife have both started using it over there's. It is probably the perfect trimmer. You have to be very reckless to clip your skin with it. It doesn't clog easily and when it does it's super easy to pop the head off and clean it. It is strong enough for my insanely rough beard hair without ripping it and sharp and precise enough for my wife's leg hair. It can easily handle my beard hair at curly and over 2 inches when pulled straight. It's fairly small as buzzers go which makes it easier to pencil grip when doing fine lines. And it's so easy to use by just pushing the button to start. Swapping heads is also childs play. Overall this is the perfect trimmer. ... show more
