I recently purchased an old house, that has no plug in the bathtub. I love taking baths, so I was pretty sad thinking that it wasn't going to be an option. I purchased these hoping they would work (they are bigger in diameter than my actual drain). They work perfectly! The seal is so tight that I lose no water in the tub when I am in it. Even after using bath bombs, epsom salts, etc, the colors have stayed exactly the same. The only thing is, you have to be a bit careful if your foot runs over it (there is a little raised area in the middle where you can pull it up), because if your foot gets caught it can pull the whole thing up. This has only happened less than a handful of times, but it is just something to keep in the back of your mind! ... show more

These are really large. My bathtub has a small rushed hole by the drain so this is perfect to cover that up so water does not leak. And cheap at half the price when you get two of them make some like $2.50 apiece.

I removed my bath tub drain plug and replaced it with this for baths. The plug that was installed in the tub didn’t allow the water to drain well, the rubber stopper got in the way. This simple (old-fashioned) plug works great in combination with a drain screen to catch hair.
