I was nervous about this purchase because there were only like three reviews. Let me tell you, this thing ain't so bad!! It's definitely not high quality handmade solid wood furniture, but it's durable enough to withstand the brutality of my 7 and 3 year old. It arrived very quickly THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL FOLKS AT THE USPS in great condition. There are a zillion little parts and pieces but they all add to the integrity of the bookshelf. It looks like a complicated build but it totally isn't. Took me about an hour during my virtual happy hour. It holds a ton of books. Normal books. Paper and hardback. Board books are a different story. We keep most of those in the drawer but eventually we'll phase those out cuz the youngest is turning 4 soon. Speaking of the drawer, it's not attached. It will pull all the way out. If you buy this for children it may turn into a toy. Again, not fine furniture!! I'm installing a stop bar so the drawer can't come out anymore. Don't want the kids to break it. All in all I consider this a good buy. The white coating is gonna get scratched up. It got a little scratched as I was putting it together on the hardwood floor. But at the end of the day the hole thing is gonna get covered in boogers and stickers and nail polish so who really cares?? Price is fine but I obviously wanted cheaper lol ... show more

The first one sent cracked while trying to put in one of the screws and I had to exchange it, not the strongest wood. Replacement came quickly and my bf put it together without any issues. It fits a decent amount of our son's books and fits in his room perfectly. The anchors are reassuring because he is at the climbing stage. Unfortunately the anchors zip ties stick out and doesn't look very nice, but they are mostly hidden by the books so no big deal. Bottom drawer rolls out ok, I put his nap time mat in it. It rolls smoothly without anything in it but sticks just a little with the mat inside. Overall I am happy with the purchase, even if it is a little pricey. My daughter loves it. I love it. I love how organized her books look. I had someone else built it for me. It’s not that sturdy but I love it. It’s functional for our bedroom :)

I was extremely pleased with how many books this book shelf holds. It's very cute and toddler sized. It is a great addition to my daughter's room. It also has cute little shelves and a storage drawer to put extra books, toys, etc. It was fairly easy to put together. I did it on my kitchen floor by myself with my toddler trying to "help." If you're looking for a book shelf that your small child can access easily that also looks nice than I would definitely recommend this book shelf. ... show more

I read all the reviews for this and was pretty nervous to build it... I’m not sure if they have updated their instructions or what, but it was extremely easy and not very time consuming! It took me less than an hour to get it set up. I am very impressed with how sturdy this shelf turned out. It even comes with stuff to anchor it to the wall! It’s the perfect size for kids furniture and actually holds a lot of books. I have carpeted floors and the toy bun underneath rolls perfectly fine! I absolutely recommend this product!
