So as many I was on a budget and was on a search for a good quality bed but most importantly a bed that provided more then just sleep and taking up space. During pandemic so many things are closed and decided to make our living space as interactive and educational as possible. Thinking outside the box and not have our home just look like a showroom. So this bed is very easy to put together, I actually assembled by myself, but would go by quicker with two people. But I personally enjoy assembling projects on my own it’s quite relaxing plus it was a surprise for children. The bed is very sturdy and solid once assembled to move it does require two people as it is quite heavy. My children are toddlers and running in circles up and down to go on slide. I weigh about 125lbs and went on top and was extremely sturdy. There room is now a room they love to be in and are constantly playing in. Prior to this bed they were never in there room as they had two twin beds and literally took up the entire room with this low loft bed an amazing perk is it also provides so much extra space and I feel so safe with them utilizing it as I am 5 ft tall and for the first time I’m taller then something. Lol so the height is perfect and I don’t worry that they are to high. So I would give this bed 5stars and highly recommend to all parents. Great price & Great quality. ... show more

We got this for our 2 and 3 year olds who need to start sharing a room. I love the low profile and higher guardrails up top. It wasn’t too bad to set up. It took two of us about 2.5 hours. The bed and slide feel very sturdy. The main issue we’ve had is that the slide is very fast and has a wooden bump at the bottom that hurt our kids when they went down. This probably wouldn’t be a real issue for bigger kids. We fixed the problem by hot gluing a carpet piece over it (see picture). ... show more

    • Sturdy, Low, Not a nightmare to build.

I set this up on my own in under 3 hours, and those we're 3 very distracted hours of coming back and going to the project. Once I had assembled it, I was very impressed with the sturdiness of it, my kids we're all over it the moment the slide went on and the mattresses were placed. That being said a few small details: For the top bunk, don't exceed an 8" mattress, you can go with 10, but you will have very little guard rail, and with a 12, you pretty much wont have any. The bottom bunk was fine with a 10, but again, this is a low bunk bed, so dont expect for an adult to be sitting upright down there. The slide is a bit "Fast" and will send your kid to the ground quick, so as per the warnings, probably not ideal for a kid under 6 or one that doesn't do well with being a little "gravity conscious". But a 4-5YO will probably be ok if they can prove being responsible on a top bunk. The ladder and slide are extremely sturdy, in fact I would have these guys replace my attic ladder if they were in the business. The slide while a bit fast is also sturdy, they dont shortcut out with screws and use bolts for high impact areas throughout the product. ... show more

We have put together lots of furniture over the years including several ikea pieces - this was pretty straightforward but took 2 of us (in a small room) most of a Sunday. It seems sturdy -we read with our small kids on the top bunk daily- and it doesn’t wiggle or wobble. We ordered this particular brand because it (mostly) matched the color and finish of a crib and dresser set from target. We’re no longer using the crib, but kept the dresser so we wanted something that went with it. The one downside to this bunk bed is that it marks up pretty easily. If -like us- you’d be using this for small kids, it may last but probably won’t look very nice after a few years. ... show more

I was a little nervous that ordering $400 bunk beds with a slide I was going to be getting some particle board, impossible to assemble, poor product. Frankly I was okay with this because I figure my now 4 year old won’t think these are cool anymore when she is 12 and I didn’t want to spend thousands on high end bunk beds. But I was definitely wrong! I assembled them solo in about 2 and a half hours, all pieces accounted for, nothing damaged, and everything fit easily together. Everything is real wood except for the actual slide portion. It looks awesome and my daughter is thrilled. $400 is a bargain for these. We ordered 6 inch mattresses and they are the perfect height for these bunks. Side note: This same exact configuration, design product is on Wayfair for about $600, under a different name. The diagrams and measurements are identical, and I’m sure it’s the same product. Buy it here! ... show more

This bed is great and lots of fun! The slats are far apart, as you can see in my photo, but that was ok for us. The biggest issue with this bed is that a standard mattress for a twin bed will not fit without some space on the sides. I included a photo to show what I mean. The mattress size that fits best is 39 inches by 75 inches, as other reviews mentioned. With the comforter and sheets tucked in, it is less of an issue, but my son's toys fall between the bed and the wall and so do his arms or legs. He's only 2 and a restless sleeper. There's enough space to put a pool noodle between the bed and the wall but he pulls them out and plays with them so I'm still working on a solution. I bought our mattresses from a friend at Mattress Firm but they were not the size I thought and I measured and showed them. You can find the 39×75 on Amazon for about $200 last I checked. We already bought these so we're just going to work with what we have. That said, my son LOVES the bed! The slide is slick so he went down fast at first and that scared him. It would be even better for kids 3 to 5. The instructions were not the greatest, but my husband got it together in a few hours with the help of my MIL.
