This is a beautiful book shelf and I wish that we could keep it. But unfortunately some of the other reviews are right it had a very strong , STRONG toxic chemical smell to it. I took my chances on ordering and thought maybe I would be fine. But when assembling it me and my husband started to get a headache from how strong the smell is from it. He said his eyes were even itching/ burning from how strong it was. We placed it out in the garage last night hopefully to air it out. This morning the garage smells so strong of this toxic smell. I would not take your chances on buying this bookshelf. It is extremely toxic and I honestly feel it shouldn’t even be sold anymore. ... show more

The product was easy to put together, and seems to be good quality. Only problem is it smells very bad. It has a horrible chemical smell that you can smell from the next room. Tried wiping it down and it doesn’t seem to be going away.

A beautiful, sturdy piece of furniture for a little girl’s room; however, it has had the worst chemical smell that will not go away. Going on day 3 and we had to take it out to the garage and are trying to air out our child’s bedroom. At this point, not happy with the product.
