    • Not bad as a picc line protector

I decided to try these out to protect a medical picc line from water in the shower. Plastic wrap really doesn't do a good job, even with an abundance of tape. This sleeve protector is pretty long and still needs to be taped to the arm at both ends but it does a fairly decent job of keeping the picc line dry. If you use transpore tape I recommend a 2" width or wider. The tape can be pulled off after the shower so a single sleeve can be reused multiple times. This is a big pack of sleeves that will last for a long time if they aren't designated as single-use. ... show more

I bought these to protect my arms when finishing woodworking projects. I'm allergic to my favorite finish so I need to keep it off my skin. These seem like a good alternative to a full tyvek suit. I've tested and they do resist water, so I think they're going to do the job just fine! They might be a little warm but honestly that's a small price to pay to not have angry skin. ... show more

I have found myself to be very reactive to poison ivy. I bought these sleeves to provide extra protection when I am weeding and removing problem plants from my yard. The plastic sleeves fit me from wrist to upper arm. The sleeve portion is sized well for a variety of people but I find the elastic at the wrists to be too loose. I simply fold in a tuck in the elastic and staple it. The top of the sleeve gets pinned to my shirt sleeve. So while these aren't perfect, they do work to protect my arms. If I was working in a rougher environment these lightweight sleeve covers would be vulnerable but for my yard work, they work. ... show more

The description of this product caught my attention. As I read the product page on Amazon, I had a few ideas on how I would use them. I have been doing a lot of yardwork this year and my arms have taken the brunt of it. Pulling weeds and pruning hedges have scratched my arms in several places. So I had this bright Idea. I would use these MAGID SL9P EconoWear Poly Plus Polypropylene Disposable Elastic Sleeve, to protect my arms when I'm doing yardwork. They worked great. Also, I use the sleeves when cleaning around the house. They keep the chemicals off my arms and protect my clothes, too. They get a bit warm while you are wearing them.     • My Gardening Sleeves

These are listed as disposable and if you are working with toxic chemicals, you can just remove the sleeves and put them in the trash. For my purposes, these are gardening sleeves. Some plants in my garden make my arms break out in a rash, so I'll slip a pair of these on before starting to trim my plants. I was hoping that these would be opaque enough that they would screen my arms from the sun and wouldn't need sunscreen. Now that I see these, they are slightly see-through so probably not enough protection from the sun. I'll be able to reuse the sleeves quite a few times, and would only need to dispose of them if they get ripped by a plant or if I wear them to spray insect repellent on the plants. There is elastic at each end and they are easily slipped onto your arms. In a fairly short time, my arms were getting sweaty so I'll just wear them for a short time.
