I needed something to protect a PICC line (semi-permanent IV line for blood draws and medicines). These lines generally max out at 90 days, but that is largely because they can take a lot of punishment just from daily living and so require removal/replacement. I need to do whatever I can to keep this line for about 3 times that long. Every time one dresses, undresses, or does anything that causes clothing to be pulled over the line, damage is possible. I'm a fat old person, so I needed something that is elastic enough to fit my big, old arm, and that will stay in place without cutting off my circulation, but that I can pull on one-handed. This works for me. It does slide down my arm, moreso the more active I am. I believe a wider elastic edge at the top would help this quite a lot. But that is my only, very minimal, issue with it. It is very comfortable to wear. It does not drag on the line I'm trying to protect, either when putting the sleeve on or taking it off. Also, I have to wear it all the time and it is great for sleeping in. This sleeve isn't perfect, but I am asking a lot from it considering that it is not designed with this application in mind. I'm about to give this review at the risk of sounding like it's a paid advertisement. But these sleeves are heaven sent! I have a bad case of seasonal eczema, and my driving arm breaks out really bad from sun exposure. I searched online for something that could give me some relief from my issue, and I came across these. I was apprehensive at first because I don't like the feeling of anything tight on my body. So I assumed that these would have given me an uncomfortable feeling. I was willing to give them a try because the price was so low. When they came, I immediately put them on. I was shocked to discover that not only were they comfortable, but they also gave my arm a cool feeling. When I bought these, I bought other colors from another brand, and those have fuzz balls all over them, and look horrible. These still look great, I've washed them, and they still look brand new. Pleased with product quality and price compared to other brands I've tried but not as durable as I had hoped (lasted about a month and a half before elasticity weakened and fabric tore). Wicks away moisture, cooler with the sleeves on than without them. Full sun protection from wrist to top of biceps. After purchasing and trying in SoCal, I ordered an additional set for my sister and brother-in-law in Florida. White is cool and comfortable but shows stains easily. Probably a "must" for golfers to avoid "alligator skin" in their '80s and '90s (we should live so long!) ... show more
