I recently redecorated my living room and needed lamps to match the decor. When I came across these, there were mixed reviews, so I was on the fence, but decided to go with the more positive reviews and purchase them for myself. I’m really glad that I did. They arrived yesterday and as soon as I saw them, I knew that they would work out great. Now, I read the mixed reviews and I can understand some of the negative ones to a degree, but I really agree with the positive ones. First off, the height is perfect. They work great as end table lamps, but I can also see them working good as nightstand lamps in the bedroom because the shades aren’t too big that they would be in the way. The cord is plenty long on them so They should reach where you need them to. There are also two USB ports in the front, which is a little bit odd to put them in the very front, but honestly when you look at the lamp, they don’t really pull focus because they are pretty dark . I saw people saying that it was difficult to put the lampshade together, but I don’t know where those people get that from. They literally click into place, so there is the top and the bottom wire and you just click the fabric into these little tabs and then Velcro them back together. And other than that, the lamp is pretty self-explanatory itself with only screwing in one item, and then snapping another into place. I guess my only slight issue is that I wish it could take a stronger lightbulb. These do not come with the light bulbs, so you need to order them separately. They take an E 26 light bulb, but only up to 60 W. I definitely like a brighter bulb, but, if you turn both of them on, then it should cast plenty of light in the room . They are brighter than a standard 60 W bulb if you get the LED bulbs, but I still prefer them a little brighter, But still, that is already in the description, so I can’t fault them for that fact. All in all, I really love these lamps. Oh, and I have also read how these are top-heavy and would tip over if you hit them. Now, pretty much any lamp that you hit will tip over. The base is 6 inches wide , and it is definitely not top-heavy. While they are thinner in size, they stand quite firm on their own, and if you bump the table that they’re on, I highly doubt that they would tip over. All in all, I think you’d really love these, especially for the price, and , there’s so much to like about these. I hope my review helps you to make a more well-informed decision. ... show more

The lamps are fine, work as expected. Like the usb connectors in the base of the lamp. You have to assemble the lamp shades. The shades are very cheap. For the price you should get quality shades.

In this case the lamps not only were exactly as described - they even exceeded my expectations. They arrived in perfect condition and only took about 15 minutes to assemble (pay attention to the lamp shade upper rings position).
