It installed very easily into my MK6 GTI. It plugs into cigarette lighter (from underneath) and lets you plug back into the cigarette lighter, allowing you to maintain its functionality while giving two more usb ports. Red lights work and match my interior.

The media could not be loaded. Easy Install, You’ll have to remove the shifter cover which is held in by clips and can use a flathead screwdriver. after that you’ll use a torx bit to unscrew the section where the buttons go and from there it’s pretty much plus and play. They do light up when you turn your lights on. Very good product ... show more

Very easy install. Just unplug connector from the lighter 12vdc plug and plug in the harness. Remove extra covers, insert the new USB plugs. Works great lights up Red just like the rest of the instrument lights.

Cons: Not 3.0. No lights, because my car doesn't even have the wires for that despite owning one of the cars in the product title. Pros: Extra USB charging ports for my car! They work, they just aren't fast charging. Or at least, I do not consider 15W modern fast charging. Proper fast charging should handle a LAPTOP, not barely a fat phone. ... show more

I have a 2012 Jetta 2.5 SE, The product charges some devices that require low power and it does not light up red. I followed the instructions but was unsuccessful. It’s jus extra usb ports at this point.

Super easy to install if you have a working knowledge of car interiors and how they come apart. Had it done in 15 min! Ports work and lights work, time will tell how well they stand up to use. Great charging option for phones and other devices if you are looking to get rid of the 12v charging plug!
