When my mic died, I looked to replace it, but it was not available and didn’t know when or if it would be in stock again. Desperate for something inexpensive but of decent quality, I chose this microphone. I have limited desk top space so this fit the bill better than some others. I saw some that were slender mics but had wide bases. Not this one. And It was easy to plug ‘n’ use. I didn’t have to set anything up. I plugged it in and used Zoom for a meeting the same evening. From those I meet with, the quality of the mic is not as good as my old one, but it works well for my use. It has a single button on the mic to turn mic on or off. I rated it 4 stars due to sound quality. When I test it, I can hear a distinct difference in the sound. It’s about the same quality as my camcorder mic, where I have to talk a little louder for people to hear & understand me. If I were working I would prefer a better mic, but for what I use the mic for, it is definitely functional for an inexpensive price. ... show more

    • Kills the battery on my iPhone
The materials used on this mic are excellent, the sound quality is very good, I had some difficulty getting it to work, but the main issue I have is it uses up too much of the battery resources on my iPhone. A 30-minutes podcast takes the battery from 97% to 73%! My iPhone is updated, less than a year old, and normally I can go two days or more without charging. The adapter plug gets too warm during recording, IMO, and I'm wondering if there's something wrong with the mic I received. ... show more
