First of all, don’t do what I did if you want this to survive. I bought it to remove locking lug nuts with a lost key. The lugs had to be on with at least 120lb-ft of torque. I pounded cut bolts into the first nut and went to town with the small socket on my impact gun. It did not go well, several of the pins imbedded themselves into on the plastic center hex. However, I realized that screw bits were about the same size, so I removed the plastic center and dropped in a screw bit and was off to the races. I wailed on this thing, dumping the max force of my 18V brushless impact into it and the first lug nut grudgingly started spinning after about 20 seconds. The socket was burning hot and a couple pins bent, so it no longer moved freely, but it still functioned. The second lug nut was worse. After about several 30 second blasts, the first set of bolts were trashed, but the pins where hanging in there. After replacing the bolts I broke two pins, but I shoved them back in. Eventually it loosened the nut slightly before sticking again and obliterating the bolts and shearing off a few more pins. That was the end of the socket, but it was enough that I could spin the nut the rest of the way with a hammer and punch. Don’t put high torque into a anything lacking center support, and don’t expect it to handle a ton of abuse, but I tortured this thing and it did the trick hanging in far longer than I expected. ... show more

    • It's good, but could be better
I got it to lower down on the sockets I needed to carry for work. It does the job, in most cases, however it will tear up nuts or get stuck on some sizes that you have to pry off of it. Sometimes the metal rods will also not retract back, you'll have to take a small tool from the other end to push them forward. It works in a pinch when you don't have the right socket, or can't find it. But, I will avoid using this if I had another choice because the issues it gives. ... show more
