I have spent quite of bit of time researching Urea Fertilizer and a user of different products for lawns. This is just an opinion for lawns and Id recommend consulting your local garden shop or lawn care expert (not your big box store) I chose toe use urea over ammonium sulfate because it has more nitrogen but if youre worried about applying it even you should use ammonium sulfate instead (21-0-0) They do the same thing, one is just more even but you give up the amount of nitrogen to do it. If you make a mistake with urea it will show, Id use the lowest setting on your spreader and go over your lawn more than once if needed. Again, this is a lawn application opinion only. I did a nitrogen blitz at the end of the growing season and put is on 1/2lb of Urea per 1000 sq. feet (46-0-0) Had no issues, no whatsoever and will continue to use it this way. Couldn't be happier with my lawn and only use pre emergent in the spring and this late season nitrogen blitz. I have cut down on my cost and have a perfectly thick lush lawn without weeds. A lot of fertilizers use this exact product in their blends. For me this was the cost efficient move and after putting this into a hose end sprayer my grass grew like crazy. Glad I did the research and this product does do the trick if you need straight nitrogen. Heck make your own DEF too.

We used a tons of urea and sulphate fertilizers in our farms in India. I tried in USA for vegetables but I don’t see much more benefits, so I used for lawn, and my lawn is so dark green and amazing growth. For vegetables I don’t recommended but for lawn and other grass I say must have it once or twice for your lawn. 1 pack I used twice in my 10k sqft lawn, so be aware don’t over otherwise you kill and dry your lawn. I recommended use when raining predicted for 2 days at least so save on water. Urea needs a lots good water spray for 2 to 3 days. ... show more

When my soil test came back with nitrogen levels that were too low, I ordered this product to boost it. Works exactly as advertised: Did not raise any other macro-nutrient level while bringing up the levels of nitrogen up to ideal levels. Depending on crops, repeated application will be necessary.

A little bit of this goes a very long way. Use too much and it will kill your plants. It's like concentrated urine. Very strong. Use the right amount and it will stimulate green growth. Too much will burn your plants.
