Not sure if this product would work well for purposes other than fertilizing plants, since it is in pellets. But if you need it for your plants, it's good, and comes with good instructions. Remember, urea is a nitrogen fertilizer, and will only help your plants if what they need is nitrogen. Plants also need phosphorus and potash, and if your plants are lacking these too, nitrogen won't help. If you need all three nutrients, get a balanced fertilizer instead. My soil test said I only needed nitrogen, so this is great for my garden. If you are not sure, get your soil tested first! ... show more

I have spent quite of bit of time researching Urea Fertilizer and a user of different products for lawns. This is just an opinion for lawns and Id recommend consulting your local garden shop or lawn care expert (not your big box store) I chose toe use urea over ammonium sulfate because it has more nitrogen but if youre worried about applying it even you should use ammonium sulfate instead (21-0-0) They do the same thing, one is just more even but you give up the amount of nitrogen to do it. If you make a mistake with urea it will show, Id use the lowest setting on your spreader and go over your lawn more than once if needed. Again, this is a lawn application opinion only. I did a nitrogen blitz at the end of the growing season and put is on 1/2lb of Urea per 1000 sq. feet (46-0-0) Had no issues, no whatsoever and will continue to use it this way. Couldn't be happier with my lawn and only use pre emergent in the spring and this late season nitrogen blitz. I have cut down on my cost and have a perfectly thick lush lawn without weeds. This is how I put the lawn to bed in September in the northern midwestern state. ... show more

Good stuff for the garden. The bag does not zip closed like it should. It spilled out in my car and was a mess....and a waste of money since I lost a bunch. :(

Great and strong product. I needed something that could be mixed into water so my chickens won't eat it. This easily mixed into water and was able to be applied with a fertigate system. Just be careful you can and will burn your plants if not applied correctly.
