This stool is a great living room accessory. It functions as a foot stool near one of the chairs, extra seating when we have crowds, seating for puzzles and board games, and it even has hidden storage inside. The blue velvet color also makes it a small but standout piece. It arrives in a box and assembly took maybe 10-15 minutes. It was straightforward to install the legs with the allen wrench provided, but you will need a screwdriver to install the round wooden stabilizing piece to the inside of the lid. The only issue I ran into is I have to swap out the screws provided for slightly longer ones because I could not get them to catch. I have plenty of screws around so this added maybe two minutes to the job. I have been gradually decorating my daughter’s bedroom and when I saw the advertisement of this stool, it looked very nice, modern, and with the right size for her room. My daughter was very happy that the stool comes with an interior storage and she calls it her hidden compartment - lol - and she has been using it to store her favorite toys. The velvet fabric is very soft, pleasant, and made with great quality materials - the seams are perfectly aligned as well. My chosen color is light pink matte and very easy to match the furniture of my daughter’s bedroom. The stool’s legs are made of metal, very solid, and resistant enough. It was very easy to assemble the stool - it took me less than 10 minutes - and it was great that all hardware was included and perfectly chosen for this stool. I purchased this stool as a side table/leg stool for my accent chair/office sofa and it has worked great. Assembly was quick and simple. Its Just required attaching the four legs to the base of the stool (with the enclosed nuts, screws, and tool) and adjusting the feet for stability and leveling. The stool top is removable with one side of fabric for sitting and the other side with a wooden surface for placing objects. The stool fabric is pleated on the sides for a stylish look. While it definitely feels sturdy, this stool definitely feels a lot smaller than the photos they show with a desk or vanity for “scale.” I should have personally measured so that’s my error. Assembly was fine except the two pieces of the top of the stool were not together when it arrived and I found 3 screws just floating around the box and the screws are too short for a secure bind. Not to mention it requires 4. I reglued, clamped and replaced the 3 small screws with 4 larger so hopefully it holds up but I was disappointed I had to do all that. Two of the four anti skid rubber gasket feet will not screw into the legs as if the threads do not match between the two. I guess the quality check at the manufacturer prior to packaging got missed on this one.
