I ordered this unit because of its price and digital temperature display. Unfortunately, it arrived with a big dent on the top due to mishandling during shipping. I reached out to the company to see if I could get a replacement top/lid, and they immediately arranged for the delivery of a new unit. The communication and support on this has been great! Would not cool. Be sure to let the freezer sit upright for a full 24 hours before plugging it in so that the compressor oil and coolant can settle. That isn't mentioned in the manual or ad, and the demuller site said 6 to 8. I waited 10 but customer service said it should have been 24. Tried running for 5 hours but wouldn't cool, and a burning plastic smell came from back. Unplugged for 16 and tried again but still warm after running a day. Smell went away though. Requested return but wasn't sure how to do that as packaging was already broken up. So contacted seller who responded quickly and a new one was sent same day. Said may be an electrical short. Hope the new one works, as size is perfect and wheels made moving it in so much easier than my ancient Monkey Wards one that died. Not pleased to have to hassle with getting this moved out and another in. But am grateful for their quick response. UPDATE: The new freezer arrived midday Friday, and FedEx left it standing on its head. This time the box was printed with the instructions to leave it standing upright for 24 hours as part of the customer service info from demuller. Wondered if had missed that with first one but in the delivery photo that printing was visible and didn't include it. Again not in ad or in poorly translated manual..Was running errands Saturday so it was about 32 hours when first plugged in. Works great, no burning smell, and ice cream I bought on faith while out is rock hard. Knew it wouldn't last in dinky freezer compartment of fridge. Not sure if the first freezer didn't work because I only waited 10 hours with it or if it was just a dud. But definitely do wait a full day. The media could not be loaded. I got this freezer for storing my breastmilk and this unit could fit 110 (6oz each, unpressed) bags for sure. I had problems with the temperature going up and down but customer service was quick to send a new unit.

So I did a lot of research I guess if you're gonna go with a mini freezer, it is best to purchase one that have coil shelves not plastic shelves or plastic and glass shelves. I guess the coil shelves evenly distribute whatever it is that makes the freezer freeze all three shelves are actually freezing the food if that makes sense There's another brand that has the coils but it's about $100 more. The reviews on this are pretty good. You can please some of the people some of the time, but you can't please people all of the time it is not loud I didn't even wait for the freezer to get cool. I just transferred the food to the freezer. It is on setting 3 1/2 everything is frozen and stayed frozen. I also bought a four year protection, I bought this to store homemade cat food Updated review Third week of April -24 freezer is still working still at setting 3 1/2.
