Features

  • [NOTES] Requires an Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub and a secured 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network connection. The Motion Sensor P1 is compatible with Aqara Home, HomeKit, Alexa, IFTTT, and more. *Please update to the latest firmware version to use.
  • [5-Year Battery Life] The Motion Sensor P1 has an industry-leading five-year battery life and will have acceptable battery life even in low temperatures or lightning-fast detection timeouts.
  • [Configurable Detection Timeout] The detection timeout can be easily configured without any hardware modifications. By configuring the timeout from 1 to 200 seconds in the Aqara Home app, you can save energy or sense every movement in no time.
  • [Adjustable Viewing Angle & Detection Distance] Extra-wide field of view: 170 for up to 4 meters and 150 for up to 7 meters. With a versatile 360 stand, you can easily adjust the viewing angle, and only trigger the sensor when its needed. Moreover, the three sensitivity modes (high, medium, and low) are configurable, and they refer to the distance the sensor will be triggered from.
  • [Alert System and Home Automations] By setting the Aqara Home Alert System or using it in HomeKit or other supported systems, you will enjoy constant monitoring, local sound, light alarms, and cloud notifications in case motion is detected. The sensor is also a part of smart home automations: configure the IF conditions and THEN actions, and many routine tasks such as turning on the lights with the Aqara Smart Wall Switch or controlling the TV with the Aqara Smart Plug can become automated.

  • Great option for HA
I only use Home Assistant these days, done with the creepy factor of Google and Alexa, Siri is also not far behind. Love being able to add these to a zigbee hub of your choosing. Great detection, has a lux sensor (plant freaks :D) and even options to adjust their sensitivity, which is great if you pass through an area frequently rather than loiter. get them while they have deals, you shouldn't need to spend any more than $20 a unit ... show more

  • Functionality
I have several of these by Aqara and they all work great. I will say pairing them in to Home Assistant is easy but making a couple of timing changes is a bit cumbersome, but can be done and only needs to be done once.

  • Very Responsive!
It is working perfectly but the supplied double sided adhesive failed after 2 days. I had to get some 3M tape to get it back on the wall.

  • Definitely worth the money!!
The Motion sensors are very dependable and works great with automations in my Apple Smart home..

  • No way of automating shut off.
The product is great and works as intended. The only issue I have is the motion sensor acts as a trigger, but there is no way of automating it to shut off. I have one in my Living Room to trigger the lights if anyone walks through the living room I also have a scene set up in the Living Room to adjust the television and lights when we are watching a movie. I cannot tell motion sensor to shut off when the TV is on and if I forget to shut it off manually. The light automation overpowers the scene and changes all the lights back to normal. This is a software limitation, and there is no fix in HomeKit or the Aqara app. ... show more

  • Works OK for Smartthings hub, not so much for Eero Pro 6
Once you get it working with a hub its an acceptable product. I hoped to use it on my Eero 6 Pro wifi system, but would not show up as a device in Alexa. Smartthings was my backup plan since I use that for all of my other Z-wave, Zigbee, and some Wifi devices. The default Smartthings install didn't work. After googling around I found some drivers that installed them in Smartthings which made the device work properly. Once it's working in Smartthings it's no trouble to get Alexa to show it. Now I can turn on a light with motion in my garage. I'll probably buy a second one of these since now I know what is required to make it work. However, I'd probably look for a different sensor if I didn't own this one already. ... show more

  • Works well and is compact compared to other alternatives, Issues with adjustable motion detection
I knew this would be a tiny device and after receiving I was still surprised by how small it is. Paired immediately with zigbee2mqtt on home assistant. Changing settings on the device is a bit finicky, requiring you to press the pairing button before changing each setting, but I figure this is just the nature of battery powered Zigbee devices. Motion is detected almost immediately by home assistant and is sensitive enough on its highest setting to detect me shifting in my office chair ~7ft away. The only problem so far is that setting the timeout to 60 seconds causes the sensor to be stuck occupied. Both 30 seconds and 5 seconds work fine, but I don't know what that will do to battery life. This may be fixed in a later firmware update. Speaking of battery life, I disabled the blue flash upon motion detection because I figure that will drain the battery much quicker than without. I don't expect the battery to last all 5 years, probably closer to 2, but if it dies concerning quickly I will update this review. ... show more
