When I first attached it to the charger, the charge indicator lights showed it as a defective battery. I removed it and re-attached it, and it charged up just fine. I put the battery on my M18 12" miter saw and compared its performance to the Milwaukee brand battery. This saw draws a lot of current, especially when cutting off a treated yellow pine 4x4. I received a 3.0 Ah battery. I tested it in my tile vibrating setter tool and my heat gun. It worked just fine in the vibrating tile setter tool and in the heat gun. (It ran for about 10 minutes on high on the heat gun. I thought that was pretty good for a 3.0 Ah battery.) It also fit my charger and charged up just fine. Seems to be a good value. I can’t speak to service life, but given the price, if it lasts a couple of years it might be worth it. For now, I am satisfied with this third party replacement battery. ... show more

I've been using this battery daily for two months, along with my other Milwaukee 18V batteries (OEM and non-OEM). It works fine on all my outdoor tools, including chainsaw and leaf blower. Both are very demanding tools on a battery. It charges up fine on my Milwaukee charger. So compatibility is no issue. Build quality is nice. It feels solid and well-made, same as my other batteries. The level indicator is helpful, especially the bright LEDs, which are easy to see in bright sunlight. Run-time is about as expected, no better or worse than my other 3Ah batteries. Definitely better than some of my older batteries. Raw power with the chainsaw is definitely less, compared to the big OEM 12Ah battery. But still, it provides the necessary power to get the job done after the big battery dies. I especially like the lighter weight, which makes the chainsaw much lighter and easier to use. The leaf blower consumes batteries incredibly fast. This battery is no exception. I usually get about 5-6 minutes when running the blower at full speed. I can't comment on longevity. But at this price-point, even if it only lasts a year, it's likely a better choice than OEM at 2X more. I've had mixed results with name-brand OEM batteries as well. So I think going with value is the better strategy. Overall, this battery has performed well so far. Decent runtime. No compatibility issues. Nice build quality. Excellent value compared to OEM. I'll update the review if any issues. But after 2 months of regular use, I think it will hold up just fine. ... show more
