I needed this to convert home charger to plug into our Tesla and in case I couldn't find a Tesla charging station in outdoors. This is a perfect adapter for my tesla model y. The old one I had always easily got stuck in the charging port on the car. And this tesla adapter works fine, connecting and disconnecting from the car is much smoother. The hotel only has a j1772 Connect charger, this helped me a lot and works perfectly. It's nice to have an option while traveling, no matter where you get this adapter, it's a must-have in your kits of adapters if you ever plan to be able to charge anytime from anywhere. Tested operational, no proceivable temperature rise in operation. Worked as expected. Seems made solid, case is nice, the spring cover is initially awkward but managable. This cover may prove valuable for safety in rain charging conditions on j1772 only stations.

Just got back from testing this CCS1 adapter for the first time. As other reviews stated, it's a bit of a tight fit on the Cybertruck, but it does fit. I hooked it up to a 350kW EA charger, and was glad to see service mode reporting a charge at native pack voltage (~800V). My SOC was pretty high so I was only doing about 100kW, but due to the higher voltage it means the amps were low, so the adapter barely got warm. Very glad I purchased this product. ... show more

Fine little adapter that is similar to OEM and should work fine for general use. The only reason I'm docking it a star is that it does not appear to have any protection circuitry and does not even appear to be FCC/CE/IP certified. Other adapters on the market have temperature sensing, voltage and connection circuitry all working to make sure my car doesn't get fried by the connected power supply, and the certifications let you know the product was actually well designed for its intended purpose. ... show more
