This is my second one. Unfortunately my first one was hit by lightning and blew up part of the circuit board. But order a new one and got it the next day. Use it on my car that has a lot of drain from all the digital stuff if it’s been sitting too long and my lawn tractor. It can top off a battery and maintain it but probably not the best for batteries that that are getting worn out. Can charge them but takes a long time. After experiencing a surprise dead battery in my car on a cold morning, I bought this tender. Before using it, I charged my battery overnight with my 10 amp ordinary charger ( it charged to 12.35 volts and car started). I then connected my new tender to the battery still connected in the car. The tender then indicated "charging" and "charged" (agreeing that the battery was useable but needed more charging) After half an hour, the battery measured 12.9 volts and continued slow charge to the expected 13+ volts.
