It came in one piece, no bumps or breaks. The assembly process was easy, required some pressure to account for alignment (the two panels hiding the crank bar). Fix: don't screw in the single side screw, screw in the two that hold the table bracket. Then screw the side screws. Image info: Two 27 inch monitors on desk pole mount brackets. Full size Logitech keyboard and mouse. Fan trinkets :). Wallscrolls for reference. PS. I'm 6ft and can use this at full crank- standing up no problem. It's also the cheapest large standing desk anywhere (that I can find anyways). If your desk gets damaged, you could still use the mount/crank with a large piece of lacquered wood and it'll still be cheaper (home Depot). Updated 2021: After nearly 2 years of flawless function, I bought my wife one (white version) and the assembly has gone less smoothly. One of the feet goes on at a bad angle (poor QC) and two of the screws had their head strip out on me under gentle tightening pressure. Seems like the quality may have slipped (or I got (un)lucky on my first or second go). Height: At 29.5" at it's lowest setting, it is only 1/4" higher than my oak executive desk. Take the adjustable feet off, and it is exactly the same height. Its highest setting is perfect for me. I'm 6'2" tall, and while standing it places my keyboard at the height my arms are at a right angle. Sturdiness: Surprisingly bomb-proof. At both the lowest and highest setting the desk and legs are solid, and fixed. The whole thing feels very sturdy, and confident. One caveat: if you are placing it on carpet, the weight of the desk is not enough to keep it from wobbling a little as the pad compresses. I placed some dumbells on the legs and this helped a little, but it's not as solid as my oak desk on carpet. Assembly: Took 30 minutes, as straightforward and easy to follow instructions. Had no issues that some other reviewers did. Pro Tip: Don't fully tighten any screw until it is fully assembled. This allows for a little wiggle room to make sure everything lines up appropriately. I got excited and tightened down the legs with just the cross bar, and the feet were at odd angles. Once I released that pressure and fully assembled the other braces and desk-top, everything lined up plumb. Rectangular Cross Bar: I was worried my knees would hit it, and almost didn't purchase. Glad I risked it. Again, I'm 6'2" and my knees only hit if I have my chair tucked completely in (rare). And, in fact, having the bar to rest a foot on is kind of nice when I'm getting super-relaxed. Overall Quality: As the title says: Surprisingly Good. No dings or scratches on the legs. Solid paint job. Solid build quality. The desktop lamination on the bottom is hanging off the edge a bit, prone to peeling, but the top is solid and smooth. Glad a got this instead of the comparably-priced one that doesn't come with a desktop. ... show more

    • Amazing desk. Use a bar stool!

Tip: Use an ergonomic standing mat to reduce fatigue. When you get tired of standing, have a tall bar stool on hand so you can sit down without changing the level of the desk. Very very handy. Tip: I didn't need as high of a desk as I thought. I thought I would want to use this desk at the max height. But I'm 5' 11", and this desk goes much higher for me than necessary. It does not go as low as it should though, for comfortable sitting in a normal chair. Pro: Great quality, best price on the internet for a standing desk. Con: The desk doesn't go down as low as it should for a comfortable sitting position. Instead, use a bar-stool. Also, the melamine-type surface is not entirely smooth and therefore OK but not perfect for writing on. Put a couple sheets of paper under what you're writing on and you're good. ... show more

I love this desk for the quality, value and hand adjustable crank (vs an electric one.) The only downside is that I did not pay careful attention to what the lowest height is for this desk. It does say standing desk, but I thought that meant sitting or standing. I'm 5'1 and at 30 inches high, my new chair (which is also adjustable) is still too low to sit at this desk. If it weren't for that one issue for me this desk would be perfect. My chair is also adjustable but does not go high enough for this desk, so just pay attention to the min and max height on this puppy if you plan to use it for sitting, because other than that for me, it is great. I put it together by myself in a less than an hour. The holes on the underside of the table were not aligned perfectly so that was the only hang up. Just make sure to barely screw in each screw and only screw them all in when they're all threaded, otherwise you will be unscrewing and rescrewing them several times like I did to get things to line up. :) ... show more
