Bought this set of rechargeable lights to use inside some under-the-stairs closet space, that has no electrical access. Have used several cheap, battery powered lights, in the past. But they typically aren't very bright, and require BATTERIES, every so often. So I spotted this set, and was very impressed, for several reasons. They are rechargeable. NO batteries, to keep swapping out. They tend to be fairly bright, for average usage. There are TWO of them, in the pack. They simply attach, by placing them in two simple magnetic, u-shaped holders, that attach to whatever surface you need (but giving you a one-time attachment placement, of the holders themselves. I wouldn't try to re-attach the sticky tape on the back of the holders, more than once). BUT, the cool part .... you can pull each of the lights out of its holder, super-easy, and take it wherever else you might need some light, for a little while. In other words, it works as a stationery light, while in its magnetic holder (which have good magnetic 'grab'), and/or you can use it as a portable flashlight, WHEN you need to. They also have several power settings .... on/off, auto daylight-off/night-on, auto motion-activated, or ON constantly (flashlight mode). I can open the closet door, and it automatically comes on. It stays on while I'm inside (moving), and then will shut off AUTOMATICALLY about 20 seconds after I close the closet door. So with all that, these things are great ! Purchased this little guy 3 times already for different places at our house. Started with under cabinet placement in the kitchen and we all loved it instantly. Super easy to use and install is a breeze. Moved on to placing them in less used, dark places like our storage area and it’s so awesome to walk in and instantly have light without having had to spend a ton for an electrician to wire overhead lights. We use them in night mode, so during the day they never activate unless it’s a gloomy day out, but even during those stretches the battery did not disappoint (it’s been about two months we’ve had the first set I’d say, but I only charged one of them once, which is the one placed in the highest traffic area). During the night, they’re incredibly responsive. I have a small dog and his water bowl sits next to a kitchen cabinet. When he walks over there to drink, the light pick up on his movement and activates, which I personally think is awesome and speaks for their responsiveness, but I can see how some might not like that. The picture in the storage area: the place is pitch dark without it, but look at what one small lamp in the regular setting can do. I put it on the 2x4. I was tired of scrambling in the dark inside my kitchen cupboard which is under my counter. It is also a corner cabinet next to the dishwasher, so the back goes quite deep and it is extremely difficult to see and get what you need sometimes. So I bought these lights to at least see what I am doing inside the cabinet. It makes a HUGE difference, honestly I should have gotten these lights years ago and saved myself the aggravation... These lights are very bright, especially considering the fact that they are battery powered, so it is able to light up the entire cupboard so I can see everything. Also, there is the option to use a motion sensor, so it turns on immediately when I open the cupboard door, and turns off a few seconds after closing it so the battery doesn't drain. The lights also recharge via USB-C which is nice, and it does come with a charging cable just in case you don't have one already. Since I attached them to the inside of the cupboard, I had to use the adhesive metal tabs so that the magnet could hold the light in place. Super easy to install. It literally took me a minute, maybe 2 minutes to install the light. I've only had the lights a short while, so I can't speak to the longevity, but the product seems well built enough and I don't expect to see any defects, so unless I update this review with some issues, this is an easy recommendation from me. If you need an easy to install light inside a cabinet or anywhere tricky like that, or if you need a light with motion sensor, this would be a great choice. ... show more

Purchased these lights to brighten my closet as it’s very dark and difficult to see items. I bought two thinking that like my other experiences with string lights that I would need more to get the desired brightness that I wanted. Turns out I only needed one, which perfectly lit up the space (see photos of before with regular home lighting and after with the light installed). It was really quick to install and I was a little surprised that it stuck so well to wood but it hasn’t budged. The motion detection is something I leave set in so that anytime I reach into the closet it brightens. It’s worked like a charm for me and I’ve used it for a few weeks now without having to recharge it after the initial charge. Other than how bright it is my absolute favorite feature though is that I can remove the light from the magnetic holders attached to the wood and use it like a flashlight to see more. I would definitely recommend the product to anyone looking for bright and reliable lights. The only downside to me was that the small box of lights came in a massive box, which seemed a little wasteful for packaging. ... show more
