I’ve used them underneath of cabinets, in my closet and even on underneath the bottom rail of my bed since my dog loves to hide toys under there! These lights are great, especially if you are using them in an area that's not high-traffic. I have them in a safe and in a couple of closets and those are still running on the original charge. I also have one on the underside of a bathroom cabinet so that it comes on when you enter the bathroom. That one needs to be charged every 3 or 4 days, which is reasonable for as often as it is on and as small as it is, but of course if you forget it will only go dead when you are trying to use the bathroom at 2 a.m. Murphy's Law. ... show more

I loved these at first and when they're working they're exactly what I want but I have to charge them every couple of days. They are in motion mode and there are days no one goes in the kitchen all day but I still have to charge them in rotation.     • Love for older homes without wired closets

The media could not be loaded. These lights are the perfect solution for older homes where closets haven’t been wired for lighting. I had similar lights that ate up alkaline batteries and weren’t very bright. These Aveva lights are easy to install, rechargeable, easy to relocate, the lights gently come on so I’m not blinded by an instant flood of light and then whether you using the on or auto mode the lights turn off after 20 seconds of inactivity. I like that the lights come in a six pack but more than that is the option to order either warm or bright white. With the different color choices I can use warm for the family when getting out of bed in the middle of the night or use the bright when trying to see down into cupboards. The lights charged quickly and I like the lights flash red when charging and green when finished. Drives me crazy to have red flashing and red solid, so I’m glad they have red to charge and green it’s done. The lights can be installed three different ways by magnetically letting it stick to iron or steel, using the included sticky tab bracket or by screwing the bracket in place. It didn’t matter for me but the sticky tab was already attached to the mounting bracket so if you don’t need or want it then it has to be scraped off. We live in an area that gets hot and sticky tabs dry out quickly so I opted to screw my brackets into place. The screws weren’t included but the mounting bracket already had a center hole. The screws do protrude but it didn’t interfere from keeping the lights in place. I love how easy these lights can be put up and taken down. This makes it easy to charge and replace but more than that it allows me to use as a handheld flashlight if I have to dig further back into a cupboard. I thought the price for these lights was reasonable and I’m no longer having the buy batteries every other month. ... show more

This is another one of those items that you didn't know you needed but now you can't see how you managed without them. And there are SIX of them, so you can distribute them generously. I only needed under-cupboard lighting in one place. And I put two of them in a hall pantry that doesn't have a light. But my brilliant brainstorm was to put them just inside two lower cabinets so I can see what's in there. I keep a flashlight in the kitchen (and in every other room in the house, too), and I'd been using that when looking for pots and pans. I charged all six of them as soon as they came. The lights are magnetic, so you can stick them on metal surfaces (which I did in my pantry) but they also come with little metal brackets that you can stick on any surface with an already-attached adhesive strip. When you need to charge them, you pull the light off the metal bracket and leave the bracket in place. I doubt if they will need charging very often because they are only on for seconds at a time. The switch can be off/on/motion sensitive. The last setting is quite sensitive, so be aware that the light will come on when the motion is only about three feet away. I still have one left that I haven't installed...and I haven't figured out yet where I'm going to put it. These are fantastic--get some! ... show more
