Normally, he takes a couple of thick blankets with him and sleeps in the bed of his truck: a couple of blankets under him, and a couple of blankets over him. Not all that comfortable. This seemed like a perfect solution, and so far it has been. He was so excited by it, that he went and "camped out" in the driveway. It came with everything he needed to inflate, deflate, and sleep comfortably on this mattress. It's very heavy material. He made sure to carefully sweep out the bed of his truck so that he wouldn't have any sticks, stones, or odd pieces of metal trying to gouge their way through the vinyl. He liked it so much, that his sister, who has a mid-sized SUV, immediately claimed dibs on it to use in her back seat for similar traveling adventures. I love this mattress for all the accessories that it comes with! The head and side boards on the mattress are a lot different than other ones I've seen, and make sleeping in the car so much more comfortable. The pillows are also a nice addition, though I still prefer to bring my own. It comes with an air pump that makes it easy and quick to inflate and deflate. Used a comforter bags a mattress pad for softness and covered up with sheets. No leaks at this point. The one piece of advice is to let it air out prior to using and closing it up in your vehicle. The electric pump this comes with is so quick. The main mattress took less than a minute to inflate. The whole thing took about 10 minutes to completely set up. I have a 2022 Toyota Rav4 limited, so I was expecting this to be a bit of an awkward fit since the RAV4 is a smaller SUV. I don't have a car that this fits well in (yet) but I wanted to let people know how awesome this air mattress is. It has a headboard, pillows, and a guard rail that are all inflatable. It also has two blow up cubes to extend the car bench so the mattress doesn't fall between the seats. It's very soft and comfortable, and seems rather durable. Also, it comes with an air pump that plugs into the car, and has one way air valves!!! It was extremely easy to blow up the air mattress, and deflate it as well. As a car camper, I’m not sure if the other reviewers actually tested out the mattress, but it’s not a good car mattress. It’s lumpy. Smells awfully of plastic. The inflation valve covers popped off. It’s just cheaply made. I rather get a $30 Walmart mattress or a mattress topper to sleep on.
