Bought this for our bedroom. It has high ceilings, so it feels like a bigger room that it is. This 5.1 system sounds really good. No issues with the wireless connection between the sound bar and the subwoofer. Plenty of bass from that subwoofer. May end up turning it down a bit, even. We tested this unit on a newer TV with ARC, and on its permanent TV, which is older (no ARC) so it's connected using the included optical cable. Both ARC and Optical inputs work well and sound great.     • Love the Surround Sound Bar - easy to install
Really enjoying this surround sound set up - I am an 82 yrs old woman and installed it myself. The sound from the four separate units makes watching TV much more enjoyable. My husband, who is hard of hearing, can now hear the voices much better, doesn't need to use CC any more. I used all the gadgets and wires that came with the set, including the optical wire. Got voices and sound synchronized easily. Also synchronized his favorite remote with the entire surround system. The sub-woofer is not over-bearing, we find it very enjoyable.     • Excellent Value Sound Bar
I needed something for a bedroom TV, 55". I researched many of these bars. This one was by far the best value. Most power, subwoofer included (BT connected which is great\), everything needed in the package, wires, cables, etc. Mine did not come with instructions unfortunately, but one quick google search found the pdf. Took a little finagling, but the Roku remote now controls the tv and soundbar for power and volume. Awesome. In terms of sound, for $100, can't be beat. Good bass, clear high tones, most important, I can actually make out what people on TV are saying thanks to clarity and being able to change equalizer settings. Is it true Surround and all that?? Don't know, don't care. Sounds good and I'm not expecting THX levels of sound at this price point. I watch Pacific Rim with this setup and it was moooore than loud and bassy enough. Just bought a new Roku 4K TV for my man cave but my old surround system (with lots of wires) was not compatible so I wanted some thing without running wires and not break the bank. This system is perfect. Easy setup, the only wires are from the sub-woofer to the back speakers (wireless from soundbar to sub-woofer) so easy to hide. Has a very good sound, Hey it is not a high end Yamaha or Bose ....but pretty good plus there is a surround and bass buttons on the remote to control both. I only had it 2 weeks so far.     • Cheap but good
I needed a relatively inexpensive setup to pair with my outside TV under my gazeboo. At the price point, I bought this as a, possibly disposable, setup b/c its outside. Couldn't be more pleased. The soundbar connects wirelessly to the subwoofer, and the surrounds connect via wires to the sub. I put the sub under an end table and surrounds on each side of the couch. Even outside this setup sounds good. Biggest problem that I have now - it might be too loud and bug the neighbors. Setup was a breeze. ... show more

    • STOP TRY ANOTHER BRAND
The sound bar made crackling sounds and the volume would go in and out. In order to heard any sound from the small speakers, you had to turn the volume up very high.

I don't usually write reviews, but I am impressed with the quality of this sound system so far! It has excellent sound clarity, especially for the price. I am even more impressed with the customer support you can get. They will email you after 30 days to remind you of their standard 1-year warranty, which they will extend for an additional year. They will also send you a FAQ list in case of any issues. I have not encountered any problems, but if the customer service remains the same, I will continue buying their products! ... show more

I had the same Samsung soundbar for almost a decade. It started to act up, so I did some shopping around. I grew up in the 80's where bigger was better but after reading a number of reviews on the ULTIMEA 5.1 Surround Sound Bar, I decided to give it a shot. WOW. From the quality of the product, packaging, the set-up process and of course the overall sound of this small system, I was truly impressed. I had both the optic and HDMI cables connected on the Samsung soundbar; the Bluetooth option was very sporadic. With the ULTIMEA 5.1 Surround Sound Bar, the Bluetooth option almost connected itself!
