Okay. Look at the pic. Same product old v. new. On the left is a much laundered 1+ year old protector. I am not GROSS, but spills and bodily fluids happen. We sweat at night. We copulate. Some of us urinate. They leave stains. BUT NOT ON THE MATTRESS WITH THIS PROTECTOR. This product IS waterproof. I am certain there are plenty of competitors that are just as good...but I would not try something else because I know this works. Just remember that when putting it on/taking it off (mine is king size) get help. The underside is thin and the zipper construction is a little flimsy. My old one ripped in several places on the bottom, but that is irrelevant. It is also not crinkly. Maybe a little, but I use really thin sheets. It does not sleep hot, either. Rather neutral. I’ve also been too lazy/too in a hurry to put a fitted sheet on at times and have gotten on/off it directly. Okay, sue me. That is where some of the FILTH came from. HA! 5 stars ... show more

I have two of these, one in the queen size which fit fine with a pillow top and a topper. The other was a full size for my daughters bed. The full states that it can fit a 18”depth mattress but that wasn’t the case for us. The cover ripped and the zipper broke as soon as we tried to zip it around the mattress which is genuinely 18”. These are also very noisy. It sounds like a plastic cover over your mattress. So far the one on our queen is holding up well it just feels cheap. It does protect the mattress as far as small spills. Not sure on a large one though. ... show more

The material is kinda soft but feels like u r sleeping on diapers lol. Also if u r buying to get rid of bedbugs get the better ones made of plastic! This was hard to tape up the zippers due to the material! I used duct tape, packing tape, painters tape, n masking tape! All fall off after laying down and getting up a few times! Ripped very easy around seams! Just wish I'd have gotten the one that popped up 1st instead of looking for the cheaper one! It did work eventually but I feel like I would have went through less issues had I bought the better one 1st! ... show more
