I purchased this combination air conditioner, dehumidifier, and heater on-line through Amazon Prime. The product arrived at my door earlier than expected and in good shape. After unboxing the item and reading the instructions I plugged the unit in and made sure it turned-on. Upon witnessing that the unit started-up normally I shut her back down and waited a day for the cooling system to adjust from shipping. The next day I tested the cooling system and heating system of the unit and all worked the way it should. I have not tested the dehumidifier component yet but I have no reason to believe that it does not function as it should since the A/C works perfectly. This self-contained tower is designed to vent the exhaust-air through an opening in a window. Thus, adjustable brackets are included to connect the exhaust hose for this purpose. The system is designed to work in a room 400 square feet or smaller. My area was only 112SF so the unit had no problem with cooling or heating my space. The unit comes with a hand-held remote control which works as it should. I am very pleased with the unit and the price I paid for it. The unit is portable as it is on casters. It can be rolled about for placement or cleaning purposes.

If you’re looking for a super easy and effective AC unit, this is the one! This is the second portable from this brand that we have bought. Our central unit works when it wants too, and just doesn’t keep up with this Texas heat. We have a 10,000btu in our kitchen and the 12,000btu in our living room where it is large open space, and it has made our house much more comfortable. Not only is it portable (which means it can go camping with us, or can easily be moved to another room by rolling instead of having to carry it), it also has 4 different functions including AC for when it’s hot and heater for when it’s cold. It’s not super heavy, but works better than the wall unit we initially tried. It comes with a window connection to vent the hot air out also which was a little challenging at first, but we trimmed it a bit and it works like a charm. The connector is very sturdy also, so if you are like me and have a pet that likes to try to sneak out of the house from the seal sides, they cant wiggle the side panels loose!

Can someone help me. When I turn heat up the heat light flashes and it makes noises for a bit. Then it will come on but it takes almost 7 mins to get the heat back on when all I did was turn it up? Over all so far it’s been great. Had to use the hose to put in a bucket for the water. Water fills up fast. NOT FOR HEAT!!! ac works great but heat no it only heats for a while and then runs cold for a while.

I got this unit in September two years ago in anticipation of cooler nights here in Georgia. The heat function started to falter and blow cool, instead of warm air. I gave up and got a tower space heater to do the job. Then, in the spring the cooling function started blowing warm. I followed all the instructions and cleaned the filters regularly plus I drained the tank directly into a bucket. I replaced it with another brand with just the cooling function. Same setup and this past spring, it failed. So, I got fed up and purchased a cheap 6,000 btu Midea window unit and threw that one in. It's been great during some very hot days this past summer. So far so good. I'm not sure if it was the transportation process of these portable type units being the problem with the life of the unit. They are heavy and tend to get bounced around I would imagine on a route delivery. If I ever get another, I'm going to buy it in person and transport it myself.

I had to replace my 15 year old AC unit. I decided on this one in part because it has a heating function. That means I now only need one device to control the temperature in my room for the entire year. The fan is fairly quiet, considering the unit sits only about 6 feet away from my bed. Not a complaint really, but the temperature setting doesn't coincide well with the temperature in the room. I set the unit at 74 degrees, and it keeps my room around 70 degrees. My only complaint is that occasionally, the "swing" setting (that directs the air flow up or down) decides to reset itself to blow air down instead of up where I set it. That dramatically affects how efficiently it cools my room. UPDATE: I took off another star because now that the weather is turning colder, and I'm using the heat setting, I have discovered that the unit uses a weird method to generate heat. It sounds like it's running the A/C compressor in reverse. That wouldn't bother me, except that in the process, it is also generating a lot of water condensate. I wasn't getting any condensate when running the A/C. When I empty it, I only get around 3 cups of water, so I have to empty the water 2-3 times a day, and it's not even really cold outside yet. The additional down side of that is that winter is already much dryer than summer, and with the unit taking even more water out of the air, I'm probably going to need to find a way to add moisture back into the air. This is going to become extremely annoying by the end of winter.

This thing is so worth the money. I had my HVAC go out and have been waiting on the warranty company to fix it. I have two of these one upstairs and one downstairs and they work to cool and heat.
