6’6” medium size. Amazing rod, no problems whatsoever. Casts great. Little bit on the softer side, but works great for average size bass and Mayan chiclid fishing. Hooked up with a huge needlenose gar, handled it great. Not the lightest rod, but well balanced with a Kastking royale legend 3000 reel and 12lb braid. Liked the red lacing just above the handle, great looking combo. Speaking of the handle, great quality cork. Used U40 cork sealant and holds up great. ... show more

Very light weight but tough. Casts smoothly with little effort. Nice comfortable grip. Very well balanced. Perfect mid-size rod for regular lakeside or seaside fishing. Good action, ultra sensitive. I do a lot of surf fishing and recently decided to get into inshore fishing, specifically bass. I purchased this rod on recommendation from a family member as a perfect beginner rod and so far I must agree. First thing I noticed when opening it up was how light this is, thought it would be brittle but it has a very nice flex to it. Took it out fishing at a local spot with a simple Texas rig and was surprised by how sensitive it is. I could feel when I was hitting a rock or weeds but most importantly I could feel the nibbles and bites. Sadly due to my over eagerness to snap the rod back I broke the line when I first got a bite. Overall after just a couple hours with this rod I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend this from a beginners point of view. ... show more

This rod serves it's purpose for me, which is pier fishing for mackerel. Holds a Sabiki line full of macks just fine. IMPORTANT: fresh out of the box, the detachable part of the rod tends to separate easily. I would not want my rod coming apart while I'm pulling up a good haul. A fisherman helped me better secure the two parts in place by lightly sanding the tip of the base part that inserts into the hole of the detachable part. This made it more gritty, increasing friction so it wouldn't easily come undone. After the fix it's a 5 star rod, the thing is built dang tough and nicely flexible. ... show more

This is no way a professional rod but for everyday beater and it is TOUGH they are known for durability and accidents to happen and they make a really good product. My wife purchased the gx2 with the foam grips and I love cork so I went with this one and its great. only gripe would be the reel seat and cork had squeaking going onwhen I hooked a fish easy rememdy was some 2 part epoxy and some thread (it was at the bottom of the reel seat and the end cork. fixed the issue very quickly and easily. still I would buy another or another length or size when I feel the need to add to my arsenal of fishing rods. great everyday product! ... show more
