6’6” medium size. Amazing rod, no problems whatsoever. Casts great. Little bit on the softer side, but works great for average size bass and Mayan chiclid fishing. Hooked up with a huge needlenose gar, handled it great. Not the lightest rod, but well balanced with a Kastking royale legend 3000 reel and 12lb braid. Very light weight but tough. Casts smoothly with little effort. Nice comfortable grip. Very well balanced. Perfect mid-size rod for regular lakeside or seaside fishing. Good action, ultra sensitive. This is no way a professional rod but for everyday beater and it is TOUGH they are known for durability and accidents to happen and they make a really good product. My wife purchased the gx2 with the foam grips and I love cork so I went with this one and its great. only gripe would be the reel seat and cork had squeaking going onwhen I hooked a fish easy rememdy was some 2 part epoxy and some thread (it was at the bottom of the reel seat and the end cork. fixed the issue very quickly and easily. still I would buy another or another length or size when I feel the need to add to my arsenal of fishing rods. great everyday product! ... show more

    • Doesn't stay aligned after a few casts

I have it paired with a KastKing Sharky III spincast reel (3500 size), which might be slightly too big for this pole because the line brushes against the first eyelet too much, but doesn't prohibit good casts. Using braided 30lb test on it. Using it mostly for top water and light spinner baits. Cons: the top half will twist after a few casts so you have to keep re-seating it. Pros: Perfect for top water, small spinners, and worms. Has a great feel to it. Very light weight and strong. Definitely hits above it's weight class. ... show more

I do a lot of surf fishing and recently decided to get into inshore fishing, specifically bass. I purchased this rod on recommendation from a family member as a perfect beginner rod and so far I must agree. First thing I noticed when opening it up was how light this is, thought it would be brittle but it has a very nice flex to it. Took it out fishing at a local spot with a simple Texas rig and was surprised by how sensitive it is. I could feel when I was hitting a rock or weeds but most importantly I could feel the nibbles and bites. Sadly due to my over eagerness to snap the rod back I broke the line when I first got a bite. Overall after just a couple hours with this rod I am very pleased with it and would definitely recommend this from a beginners point of view. ... show more

This is probably my favorite rod out of my arsenal for shore fishing. This medium light rod has handled over 100 sea trout, a 3 1/2 foot bonnet head shark and a 32 inch snook! The action is great on this rod. 100% would recommend
