  • Easy to install
Added these to a kayak and they look great. I’m just a few minutes. Worked great and makes it much easier to fish on the kayak because it holds the poles with sturdiness. Installation was easy and made it look like they had always been there because of the perfect fit. Great value for the money.

  • Pretty nice & easy to install if you have the tools
I like how this product looks and fits on my kayak. It looks and feels like amazing quality for the price you pay. As others say you must have a 2” hole tool for your drill to install which I didn’t have at first but once you have it, it’s pretty easy to install. I have a sun dolphin Fiji 8ss and even though it’s not meant for fishing, I use it as one and wanted to put more storage since most of it is empty. Would recommend! ... show more

  • Great product and easy to install
Really like these. Took very little time to install, you'll just need a small hole cutter to make it easy. Excited to take the kayaks out with these now installed

  • Cheap and easy to install
Used a hole saw to cut into my kayak. Here is a tip, cut your hole at an angle! Works great I cut the rain cap off because it just gets in the way. I drilled drain holes in the bottom of the rod holder so when water goes in, it will drain out.

  • Great product and addition
I was very surprised by the quality of the product and how easy they were to install. I was worried about not being able to access the inside of my kayak at the spots i was installing so I wasn’t going to be able to use the screws with nuts to attach them but instead had to use the all purpose screws. After installing I am happy at how tightly and secure they felt. Also bery happy that they came well built and included covers and does not leak at all. I used the included gasket as a template and cut it using my dremel tool, then ran a bead of clear Lexel silicone around the lip and installed the rod holder and tightened the screws with a screwdriver and not a screw gun or drill so I wouldn’t strip my pre drilled holes out. Everything tightened down perfectly and securely. They look as though they came with my kayak from the start. These were an excellent and very inexpensive upgrade to my kayak. Great product from this company! ... show more

  • You need to be a little handy...
These worked great on my two 8' Pelicans, I installed with a drill bit and reciprocating saw. You need to find the best position based on your kayak's shape. The Argo (orange) yak has flat slanted spots at the rear, but the Vortex (blue) yak's best location was actually near the front on the starboard side. 1) Trace the gasket circle, 2) perforate w/ drill, 3) finish with reciprocating saw -if necessary. Also smooth the cut out with a Dremel or pet claw grinder. Install holster, the flush mount screws will do the rest. Great value for the money. Instant upgrade to my wife and son's recreational kayaks!! ... show more

  • Added to my Pelica Kayak
Install was easy. You need a drill, hole saw, and some RTV. So far it seems to not have any leaks!

  • Easy install, sturdy construction.
These were really easy to install. I went to harbor freight and bought a holesaw kit for my drill and it worked out perfectly. You can see them installed on my Perception Pescador Pro 120 in the photo. I like that they have enough of an angle to keep my rods out of my way while paddling but still within reach. They are plenty deep for my bass fishing bait casters, and stable enough that I don't have to worry about them falling out. As long as you plan your install it should go fine. I put a layer of silicone around the entire thing and on/around the screws as well. This aided with stability and eliminated the risk of water intrusion. 10/10 totally recommend. ... show more
