    • This camera caught vehicle thieves!!
I bought this camera first in Oct 2023 when my daughter got into a car accident and the driver that hit her tried to say the accident was her fault. Then in November 2023, I decided to get my son this same camera for Christmas. My son is a career Army officer and regularly makes long drives and I wanted him to be safe. Fast forward to November 29, 2024 and my son has never had any issue to need that camera until that day when his 2023 Toyota Truck was stolen!! I have to give credit to Toyota who put a stolen tracker out on his truck and found the truck within hours (luckily the truck disabled itself because the key fob was not in it). When my son got to the truck he realized the dashcam was still in it!!! He had 45 minutes of in the cab recording of the thief and his 2 friends he picked up. My son gave a clip of the criminals to @therealfitfamelpaso in El Paso who posted the clip online and had the thieves identified in 10 minutes. EVERYONE raved about the quality of video this camera took. The video quality and sound was so good, some people commented it was staged (and it wasn’t!!) my son said the video was easy set up and easy to download and clip videos into smaller parts. I recommend this camera to everyone!!! The person who recommended it to me caught on her dashcam damage being done to her vehicle by an automatic car wash that broke on her kid wash. Hello! I wanted to provide an updated review based on my previous experience. Initially, I faced significant issues with the app, as it failed to launch and render the camera useless. Fortunately, after reaching out to the customer support team, I managed to resolve the problem by switching to a different app called COOAUDASH. The camera quality itself is impressive, producing remarkably clear video footage both inside the vehicle and outside on the road. For its price point, the camera offers exceptional value, and I appreciate that I can rely on it in the event of any incidents. I’ve captured various moments, including accidents I’ve witnessed and some close calls that I wanted to revisit. One of the standout features is that you can adjust camera settings directly on the device, as well as through the app, providing flexibility and ease of use. All in all, I have no complaints about this product. I truly love it, especially because of the outstanding customer service and the camera's impressive quality. Update 8/18/2021: It seems like the camera performs worse with time. After another month of daily usage, I decided to return it. Unfortunately, I will not be getting a full amount back. Anyway, there are 4 reasons for return: 1. The dash cam started recording in about 37 seconds loops. My settings are 5 minutes loops. I tried formatting the card, resetting to factory defaults, it keeps recording between 29 seconds and 37 seconds. This is not the worst part. It also pauses recordings for few seconds between those loops. So if it stops recording one loop, it pauses for few seconds and starts another. This did not happen when at the beginning so I don't know what is the problem. However, I cannot take a chance of being in an accident while my dash cam decided to pause. There would be no recording of the accident. 2. Another recent problem is when connecting to the dash cam from the phone app, it keeps disconnecting when trying to view those video files. Again, formatting and resetting the dash cam did not help. 3. There is a setting to turn on Formatting remainder. They recommend formatting the card every few weeks. After 6 weeks of usage, I can't say that I saw any notification. 4. Like I said in my original review, the dash cam's gps recording of the drive and app's display of the drive on the map are not accurate. The path shown seems to be few yards to the left of the actual dive. The support is excellent in terms of response but it seems like nothing can be fixed. It either works which means you are lucky to purchase a product without defects or you are unlucky and your product is garbage. Original review: Here are some of the positives after using it for a month: 1. very good quality video recording, both outside and inside 2. good sound recording 3. quick and easy setup with the phone app (I use android) 4. very long cable for power connection 5. the camera performs without any problems in the heat, we had outside temperatures close to 100F here last month and I left the camera inside the car that had even higher temperatures. 6. very good customer service, they responded within 24 hours every time I emailed them 7. night vision is very good 8. once you set all settings, the camera turns itself on and starts recording when the car is turned on, so it is like "set it and forget it" 9. no problems with mounting it, suction cap works very well and it is easy to use. it has been stuck to my windshield for over two weeks without falling off. Some negatives: 1. the map of your drive is not very accurate. I have android phone. it looks like the recorded path of the drive is few yards to the left. this is not a very important bug because I don't to look at the map very often and if the accident happens, the coordinates recorded on the video itself are accurate. It is just the map in the app so I hope they will fix that in the future and send an update (maybe unless they already did :-) ) I did not test parking mode yet but I will when I go on the longer trip. ... show more

The quality is a lot better than expected. It has all the features that I needed for monitoring the front and inside cabin and the video quality is excellent. It’s a really good deal. The suction cup for mounting it on the windshield is very strong too. The app is easy to navigate as well.
