  • Sturdy, with caviots.
Size: 3 Bikes
The design and sturdiness of the rack seems fine for the price. I have not used the rack yet but 3 issues out of the box, which were easy remedies. 1)I did not trust the pin holding the swivel joint in place, so I drilled a 3/32" hole through the 3/8" pin 1/4" from the end and used a hitch pin as added security. 2) The 1-1/4" bar that goes into my car's hitch did not fit as tightly as I wanted, so I fashioned a shim out of tape and a thin strip of plastic cut from an old Ziploc container, and now it fits nice and tight. 3) the top of rack is only 2" from my car window, so I am afraid my bike handlebar might rattle against the window. If so, I will remove the front tire so the handlebar can turn 90 degrees. All-in-all I feel it will do a great job, and $99 compare to ovet $300 for others seems like a god deal. It is light, easy to carry, easy to mount, and I loved the locking hitch pin and extra lock and straps they included in the package. Those items alone are worth about $20. ... show more

  • Great solid rack for the money.
Size: 2 E-Bikes Platform
I tried 2 other racks before the Tyger for our ebikes. With the ramp, the bikes are very easy to load, unload and tie down securely. No more lifting heavy ebikes. Folds up nicely when not in use. At $299 on Amazon, it is a very good deal.

  • Ready to go anywhere.
Size: 2 E-Bikes Platform
Solid build and I like the ramp for the bikes. We have 2 Euphree bikes which are step thru for easy on off and this rack works on about any type of bike We just did about 300 miles on it and not one complaint.

  • 4.5 stars… SOLID /STURDY
Size: 4 Bikes
great value overall! Directions to put in the hitch receiver fairly easy - Liked that it came with hitch and bike locks! 1 drawback- Plastic ratchet tie down not as good as thule rubber strap-

  • Sturdy, but could be a bit longer to accommodate 4 adult bikes.
Size: 4 Bikes
It’s nice, but could be an extra 3-5 inches longer to make it easier to hold 4 adult bikes. I haven’t tried 4 yet, but with 3 there wasn’t much room left for a 4th bike.

  • Easy to set up and feels solid but is tedious to operate
Size: 3 Bikes
As far as I remember it was fairly easy to set up. The whole thing was a bit more difficult for me because I had to actually install a hitch on my car before I could connect this rack. Having the smallest hitch rating, this was one of the few rack options I had available to carry multiple bikes. I think the hitch rating is the reason the carrying arms are too short to fit 3 bikes very well. With a full load it bounces and wobbles but it doesn't bend or break. It's very convenient being able to toss a bike on the back any time. Very different from using a removable rack. There are 3 things that aren't convenient though: using the tip out, folding the arms, and using the straps. Tipping it out to access the back door requires you to pull out a pin, keep track of it, and put it back when you're done. When tipping it back to pinning position, it's not a precise location, so I usually have to push and pull slightly to get the pin to go all the way back through. This small amount of tedium and often road grime is something I try to avoid if I can get to the back, through the back seat. Also the chance of this pin getting lost is very high, since there is no tether included. This is also compounded by the clasp for this pin actually having fallen off a couple of times. Without the pin, this rack can't carry a thing. Not remembering if I'd put the pin back has caused me panic on the road several times. In order to fold the carrying arms up or down, the grip wheels need to be loosened and tightened with seemingly thousands of rotations of the knobs for either side. This takes enough effort to feel the burn and a long time to complete. A VERY long time. I've used other racks that utilized a lever mechanism to clamp the grip wheels that ends up being a lot more convenient. Because of this significant tedium, I've left the arms up in the "Dangerous rear antlers may impale unwary pedestrians!" position for weeks without carrying a single bike. On those carrying arms, there are straps. The straps are quite sturdy, which is good. The problem is they're also very stiff. The amount of strength it takes to get these strap holes on and off the pegs is kind of extreme. I can do it without too much trouble with gloves on but it can hurt without them. My wife struggles more and my child just can't do it at all. There are many times I worry that the pegs will just break off under the pressure. ... show more

  • Nice Rack !! One issue, see **** area
Size: 4 Bikes Platform
This 4 bike rack carrier did its job!! Road tripped around the state hitting highways, city roads, dirt roads and trails, and never had the bikes moves. Very secure bike mount. ***** 1 main issue for me. I can’t drop my tailgate fully down!! The swing down handle hits my tailgate not allowing for complete drop. Needs about 4 inches to get a good clearance. 2020 Ram ... show more

Size: 4 Bikes
We purchased this bike rack two years ago this month. We carry one to four bikes at a time, and leave the bike rack on all summer, so it get rain, dirt, etc. thrown at it. We put a lot of miles on our car, so the rack does go through a lot. We have not been disappointed. The bikes are easy to get on and off. The rack is solid and stable. We can have the rack loaded, unpin and tip it back to get in the back of the car. One feature I'd like to see on this or any other rack would be a metal loop welded to the rack that I can slide a bike lock through to keep the bikes locked while on the rack. ... show more
