I don't consider myself unskilled, but the instructions for this (Double Version that is no longer available for $159) did not include real step-by-step directions. I had to un-assemble several times along the way after noticing nothing was aligned. I kept this up right until the final bolt. For the amount of time I had to put in on this, I would recommend you go somewhere locally and buy something assembled. On the other hand, when I finally took a magnifying glass to the tiny icons, I did get the exact bed frame I was looking for and a weight limit that fits my requirements (up to 1200 pounds). What a difference and how I’ve been sleeping for the past week, I know longer wake up with an entire body full of pain every day like I have for the past 4 yrs now , I bought Linen spa memory foam 12” mattress and pair it with this platform here I bought and the difference is 1000% vs my old mattress and split box spring , but I got the memory foam mattress first before this platform and put the memory foam mattress on top of the split spring for a week and it still wasn’t comfortable I was still waking up with some pain, we put this together and I am pain-free from this heavy steel platform , what a difference I highly recommend this frame , and it’s matter in looking very nice and durable.. Tip :when you install this Platform frame , (putting it together) work from the inside to the outside or you will be there for quite some time it’s the easiest way to put it together..awesome product!!! ... show more

I feel like it was caused by not having enough to packaging around the frame when shoving them together in a box. Directions were just pictures, no words... so I had two similar pieces on the wrong side before figuring out I had to swap it to have it properly screwed. Overall, it is sturdy and just what I needed. It’s for my 6 year olds room and he has a king frame. I like the aesthetics; it’s semi-flat instead of rounded and it is a matte finish. No footboard because I have 3 kids that like to climb and hang on everything; plus it makes getting in and out of the bed a lot smoother. It makes the space look more open and not so tight. It helps tie his room together as we still decorate. We needed a big and inexpensive bed to accommodate family that visits throughout the year (and years to come). ... show more

I bought this metal bed frame to replace my 16 year old's outdated cherry wood bed frame. This is very modern and sleek, and the dark chocolate metal is a great compliment to the wood flooring in his room. Both my son and husband were able to easily put this together in less than an hour with the easy-to-read instructions that were provided. All of the parts were packaged together to keep everything organized, making it very simple to put together. I love how it comes with a built-in headboard as well, which is very stylish. My husband says the best feature of this bed frame is that it is flexible, and you can fold it in thirds to move it around the room. In fact, it made it much easier to move it upstairs and through my son's narrow bedroom door, even after fully putting it together! My favorite feature? We were able to throw out the queen box spring, since this bed frame makes the perfect platform bed. We easily placed my son's queen pillowtop mattress on it and it looks great. The bed frame itself was really easy to install. The instructions it came with were step by step and included which screws to use for each step. Even came with the tools needed to put this together. When it came to putting this whole thing together, it was really easy even with the instructions. I did check all of the bars before putting this together and none of the bars has anything wrong with them. I even ran a flashlight over everything and found no scuff marks, rust, bent bars or anything like that. Everything arrived with nothing wrong with them. The frame itself is durable. Was looking for a simple headboard and this is perfect. Not to mention, the space I have underneath my bed is way more than I expected. The height clearance is about 12" and that has been more than enough for what we need. We use storage containers for our bigger blankets and they fit with room left. Put it together yesterday in about 2 hours. Instructions are pictorial and require some mechanical ability to "visualize" the assembly. Welds are clean, bolt holes line up, threaded portions line up. A few tips: don't tighten all the screws until bed is fully assembled (alignment is easiest when a little loose). Included spanner wrench is junk ... use a proper wrench. I'd buy again .... nice product. ... show more

Purchased this for my spare bedroom. The one we had was one of those cheap rolling ones that made too much noise. This came in two separate boxes but at the same time and quickly. It took me about 25 minutes to put together but It was by myself. I like that it holds so much weight. Material is thick, the holes are lined up unlike Some things I’ve put together it’s very frustrating when the holes do not line up. I even caught my kids jumping on it and it didn’t make a single noise or creek. All in all a great looking bed in my spare room and for the price. ... show more
